Chuck Fuller (April's grandfather) prayers for better health.
Samarian (Brittany Twitty's friend) 1 year old baby having problems with black-out spells and seizures.
Lucas Simpson broke his toe and is now in a "boot". Prayers for him going back to Boles Home.

Nora White had gallbladder surgery last week. She's at home doing well.

Tanya Welch's nephew, Alex Garcia's, 3 month old baby died of SIDS. Please keep their family in your prayers for comfort and understanding.
Laurie Beckmon's grandmother, Doris Powell, is in the hospital again. (She is 90 years old.) "Pray for peace and pray for my parents as they are taking care of her and the decisions they will have to make."

Please keep Dianna Welch on your prayers. She's going to the Dr. today for a check-up. It's possible that all the IV treatments, she had in the summer, didn't get rid of the infection and she will have to start over. Please pray for her this afternoon. Rickey Freelen's funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Living Word Pentecostal Church, with Reverend Tiny Freelen officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 pm, Monday at Bright Holland Funeral Home.

Bobby Anthony has been having heart issues and was in the hospital during the holidays.
Eloise Pettit (former member at LACOC) is in Presbyterian Hospital/Denton.
Rex Bridgers, Kathy Daniels' 5 year old great-nephew, has been having some serious health issues. The doctors are thinking it's perthes disease. Click on this link for more information.
One of my co-workers at FFCB, Charlotte Chancellor, will be having knee surgery tomorrow (Thursday) morning.
Heather Fortner, another co-worker at FFCB, will be having a C-section next Friday (1/27).
Jimmy Thielman's mother, Marchita Thielman, will be having triple by-pass next Tuesday at Baylor/Dallas.
Margaret Lough's mother, Ann McMillan, will be having surgery on 1/31.
Roger Lough's mother, Ruth Lough, is slowly getting better. She's still in a rehab facility.

Our H.A.L.O. group collected enough items at our meeting on Tuesday night to fill 13 boxes to send to soldiers in Afghanistan! Thank you to all the ladies who participated!!

Ed Bullard will be in the hospital a least another night. His Dr. will have to dismiss him. But he does have to schedule a heart cath for next Tuesday. Good news is that he did not have another pulmonary embolism.

Brittany Twitty asked that we pray for Wendell Johnson. They are switching schedules on them at work and it is very stressful.

Wayne Kerby said that Cliff went by to see Ricky Freelen and stated that he is nearing the end of his life. He is at Baylor/Dallas. Kidney failure and cirrhosis of the liver. Please pray for peace and comrfort.

Dee Lyons went forward this morning for prayers for her health and family issues.
Butch & Sue Munday are so thankful that Butch will not have to have heart surgery and doctors are treating him with medications.
Dianna Welch is at home and very sore, after her fall on Friday night. She did not break any ribs, but she is very sore.
Daryl Buchanan (Alvin's brother) fell while getting out of his truck, in North Dakota, and broke several ribs and punctured a lung.
Dr. Bill Logee (friend of Derald Bulls) is recovering from a heart attack.
Leah Boswell (co-worker of Lesa Bulls) father had heart surgery this week.
Sherry Welch and her family will all be together this next week to finalize and make closure of her Mom's (Hazel Cross) life.
Chaz Wilson (Vera Wilson's son) is being deployed to Europe.
Alma Slagle (Dinah Border's cousin) has breast cancer.
The Ladies Class listed these requests: Sarah Cooke diagnosed with cancer, Douglas Sands a 3 year old having health issues and J.C. Pomroy (retired Coke employee) has lung cancer.
My friend, Donna Archer, had her strong dose of chemo last Friday, Dec 30th which killed all of her cells, good and bad. Her stem cell harvest is scheduled for tomorrow and possibly Tuesday if needed. Please pray that this will be a simple and easy process for her that will take the minimum expected time. Also pray that they get an over abundance of stem cells so that she may not have to endure this part of the process again. Please continue to pray for Donna, her husband Sammy and the family.

Wayne Kerby messaged that a friend called him with a prayer request for Ricky Freeland. He is in a hospital in Dallas with serious liver and kidney issues. He will be having some extensive testing tomorrow. Please pray for his comfort and healing.

Karen Cato - got results from her PET scan results today. NO EVIDENCE OF ACTIVE LYMPHOMA!
Jimmy Faulkner - he continues to be in a hospital in Houston recovering from surgery.
Kathy Grigsby - as she recovers from pacemaker surgery.
Kathy Cooper - she's had cancer for a long time and went into a coma on Tuesday. Her husband James Sam passed away just a few months ago from cancer also. (Lives in Roxton.)
Brenda Story - Has been in the hospital for 2 weeks. Had surgery and is on a vent. She is a little better today, but still in serious condition.
Hannah Richard - Continues to be in Children's Medical/Dallas. They did a CT scan today and she is feeling some better. (Kristi Bullard-Moody's step-granddaughter.)

9:24am: Kristi Bullard-Moody's step-granddaughter, Hannah Richard, woke up Sunday morning with welts all over her body. She saw local doctors and then was sent to Children's Medical/Dallas, where specialists are trying to determine what she is allergic to. Edward said she looks pitiful, eyes swollen shut and the rest of her body quite swollen. Please pray for her and for the doctors to find what is causing this. She's seeing several specialists.

7:05pm Kristi Bullard-Moody posted this update on Hannah: "They have diagnosed her with 2 illnesses already, and she had a skin biopsy today. Results won't be back till Monday. In the meantime Children's said she won't go home until they find out what is wrong with her in 3-5 days. She is in alot of pain but they cant give her pain meds so please keep the prayers going for her. Thanks."

Yvonne Gentry talked with Marie Faulkner and said that Jimmy had four bypasses and one valve replacement and is doing very well.

Jimmy & Marie Faulkner were on their way to Houston, to spend the holidays with family, and Jimmy started feeling bad. He was taken to Cypress-Fairbanks Hospital where they started checking him out. 1 artery was 100% blocked on the right side and 4 arteries were blocked on the left side. While they were checking his heart, they found a large hernia that had pushed his stomach into his ribcage. THEN they found FOUR bleeding ulcers. They won't be able to do surgery until the bleeding stops. Tentatively it's scheduled for Monday.

UPDATED 1pm - 12/21: Mr. Garza was admitted to the hospital last night and is on strong antibiotics for pneumonia. Dr. says he should be out of the hospital in a few days.

Kristy Baggett's great-grandmother passed away in Amarillo. Please pray for their family in this time of loss and also for their safety as they travel.

Mike and Kathy Grigsby; He was taken to the hospital on Saturday, but returned home. Kathy was to have another pacemaker inserted, but has bronchitis.
Lewis and Carole Anderson's cousin, Patricia Goolsby, had gallbladder surgery last Friday. Also, their granddaughter, Grace, will be traveling with the Sulphur Springs High School band on a trip to Florida. Pray for their safety.
Renee Crews' friend, Myca Whitten and her family, in the loss of a family member.

CONGRATULATIONS: Curtis Garrett on his new job with the Paris Police Department. He will now be the public information officer. His job will entail: interaction with the media, crime prevention outreach, coordination with the Lamar County CrimeStoppers organization, and registration and compliance checks of sex offenders. He is also the homeland security officer for the department, with emphasis in emergency management.

Please sign up to fill a Christmas Basket. We have 40 baskets left to be filled!! The sign-up list for "Christmas Basket Volunteers" is on the table by the Welcome Center. Baskets will be delivered on Wednesday, December 21. PRAISE: 290 pairs of socks were donated for the Warm Feet Warm Hearts! Those will be delivered this week!

HOLIDAY WORSHIP SCHEDULE: Sunday, December 25th, worship will be at 10am. No Bible classes or evening service. The church office will be closed December 22-26th.

Sherry Welch just sent this message: "My little mama (Hazel Cross) is gone. She just peacefully stopped breathing. Marka and I were with her. Her breathing changed this morning, became shallow and quick and she was unresponsive. The preacher came and prayed, and as he was going out the front door, she took a little gasp and was gone. I'm sure she's busy greeting so many--everybody that came by had someone for her to "look up" when she got home." Please keep Sherry, Shane, Shannon and their family in your prayers.

Loretta Nabors just sent this update on Johnny: "Running a little fever this morning (it spiked to 103 last night) leg still red and swollen. Dr. lanced it yesterday, had a cavity in it so they cleaned that out and sent some to culture. Johnny said it hurts. He is getting 2 different IV antibiotics so hopefully that will get hold of the infection and get rid of it."

There have been almost 100 requests for Christmas food baskets! We need more volunteers to sign up to buy food to fill baskets. Also, money is needed to purchase hams to go in these baskets.

There were 40 families that were helped on Wednesday with the benevolence pantry. The pantry is in need of EVERYTHING!

April McClour's Mom, Peggy Pulaski's Dr. found a mass in her breast and will having more tests performed.
Brittany Twitty asked for prayers for her uncle Roosevelt Twitty as he is having health issues; her niece, Mahogany Crittendon. (She's had 5 biopsies and they are awaiting the results of those tests. She's only 6 and these problems are from her stomach.) Also, prayers for Brittany as she is traveling to Lubbock, that she has a safe trip.
Phyllis Giguere's Mom, Stella Lovell, fell this week and has numerous injuries.
Johnny Nabors continues to be in PRMC/South - Room 311.
Wendy May (husband works at Fry-Gibbs) had surgery yesterday on her head and they left the incision open. Pathologist doesn't think it's cancer, but final test results come today. She will have another surgery on Monday, for a plastic surgeon to close up the incision.
My son's grandmother, Barbara Sprinkle, has been admitted to a hospital in Garland with breathing problems.

Loretta Nabors sent this request: "Please put Larry Baker (my sister-in-law Marcie's, brother) on our prayer list. He is 46 years old and he is mentally challenged. He had surgery at PRMC/South, on Friday, to remove a tumor the size of a baseball in his rectum. It is cancer. The Dr. had to take out his rectum to be able to get it out. He is not doing well today, they are keeping him sedated.
My sister-in-law is the only girl and their parents have died with cancer.
Marcie also has another brother, Charlie, that is in the hospital in Tennessee with blood clots in his lungs. They are giving him meds to dissolve. He is doing better today."

Sherry Welch's Mom, Hazel Cross, is some better today. (Her Mom has pneumonia and Sherry is in Winnsboro with her.) She woke up this morning and was ready to get dressed and eat breakfast. She's been on the couch most of the day, sleeping, but continues the hard coughing.

Lesa Bulls sent this message: "Dr. Jim Semple has been in the hospital since last Wednesday night. His white blood cell count is still too low although they've been giving him blood. The radiation has scorched his throat and vocal cords...vocal chords paralyzed now and he is unable to swallow due to the swelling and pain. A feeding tube was inserted Friday; however, blood began to fill it, some dark and old and some fresh. They are hoping that it is only from the ulceration of the cancerous tumor which could indicate a little shrinkage. Today he begins radiation again and begins prepping for vocal chord surgery on Thursday. They are going to attempt to let him go home tomorrow and just travel back for the treatments, chemo, and surgery prep as he really wants to be home. The 6 kids are trying to take turns staying with him day and night to help him up and down, administer nourishment through the feeding tube, and get him to the radiation and chemo treatments and IVs at Baylor. He mostly refuses pain meds and he wants to remain clear headed and is hoping to be able to return to the pulpit on December 19 and December 25 to fulfill commitments. He lives to preach and minister and nothing will ever change that."

Kristi posted this message a few minutes ago: "Stayed up til 3 am to talk to Landon as long as we could, before his phone was shut off... I know that so many of you have prayed for his recovery and look how awesome that turned out, so I am asking... no begging for all of your prayers again... He is headed to Afghanistan... please pray for him and the team that he is leading into war. Derald Bulls sent this request: "Glenna Preston, is a co-worker of mine here at PJC, her oldest grandson (step-grandson), Army Private First Class Sergio Gonzales, was injured by an IED a year ago in Kandahar and has been in rehab since then. They haven't been able to get his foot to heal, so they plan to amputate it and his lower leg in January ... after the holidays. He has been receiving treatment at Brooke Army Medical Center for prosthetics and rehabilitation. Sergio (called Bubba by his family) was recently featured in Time Magazine receiving therapy (Photo #4). It is truly a great place for soldiers and wanted to share with you guys!" Our sympathy is extended to Lisa Bulls and her family, on the passing of her cousin, Betty Brockington, on Friday afternoon. Betty had brain cancer and was at peace. Visitation will be Friday night (11/25) from 6p-8p at Byrum Funeral Home 425 North Dallas Avenue Lancaster, TX. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday morning (11/26) at the funeral home.

We will have a Thanksgiving Devo on Tuesday night at 6:30. No classes will meet.

Derald Bulls sent this message today: "Mrs. Bobbye Roberts had a stroke and has been in the ICU at PRMC since Sunday. Her son, David, sent an e-mail just a few minutes ago that said her infection had broken and she woke up, which she had been very docile. They sat her in a chair. She is somewhat alert but not talking yet but responding." (Derald also added some back info...Mrs. Roberts is the former controller at McCuistion Regional and the lady whom I credit with hiring me at the hospital in June 1979 as the Credit Manager….and then I transitioned to the Community Relations Director in Dec. 1981..wow that was a long time ago! Some people know her husband, TV, who was a rural mail carrier for many years.)

Come for a great time of spiritual renewal and physical relaxation with your church family. Please sign-up at the Welcome Center so we can plan for food. The church rents the campsite and the families share the cost of meals. The theme this year is: "Created to Be".

The Annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be served on Wednesday, November 16th. If you know someone that will not be having a Thanksgiving meal at their home, please invite them to come eat with us! There is a sign-up sheet at the Welcome Center for those who would like to come. There's also a sign-up sheet for those who are willing to make desserts for this meal.

SIMPLE SUPPER: This weeks' entree is Turkey & Dressing. Please donate at least $3 per person. If you weren't able to sign-up on Sunday morning, and want to join us, call the church office by noon on Tuesday.

PANTRY NEEDS: Beans, Rice, Cereal, Vegetables

H.A.L.O.: This Tuesday night - 6pm! Bring snacks and a craft project that you are working on. We'll share ideas and work on our projects.

Jamie Hyatt's Mom, Wanda Howard, has fallen at the nursing home and hit her head. She has no bleeding on the brain but she did fracture her right hip and her white blood count is way too high. She will be having hip surgery at 4pm today. Wanda was supposed to start chemo treatments today, for lung cancer, but it will have to be put on hold.

My friend, Stefany Ellis, just called with a prayer request regarding 4 teenagers who were involved in a one car accident, early this morning, north of Roxton.
Kelsie Simpson, Katrina Gaton, Tyi Leonard and Kalyl McGuire were involved in a one car accident early this morning, north of Roxton.
Kelsie Simpson, the driver, was CareFlighted to Parkland, but was released earlier today with a neck brace and a leg brace.
Kalyl McGuire was taken to PRMC and released earlier today. Stitches on his face and road rash all over.
Katrina Gaton, not sure of her injuries.
Stefany's cousin, Tyi Leonard, was CareFlighted to Parkland and is paralyzed from the waist down. Spinal surgery will be done on Tuesday. A rod and pins will be placed right about the tailbone, where it's broken. Please pray that the surgery will be successful and the paralysis will be temporary. He will also have plastic surgery on one of his fingers, to repair it.
These 4 need our prayers, as will their families, doctors and nurses.

Smithy & Kay Allen's granddaughter, Kristi Kirkpatrick, has been taken to a hospital in Dallas. She is only 30 weeks into her pregnancy and her water broke today. She has not gone into labor yet, They may be able to delay labor for only 2-3 days.

Phyllis Giguere has been moved back to Health South/Plano for her rehab.

Jean O'Neal received word after church, last night, that her daughter-in-law, Jane, had passed away. This is such a shock for the family, please keep them in your prayers for comfort.

Mike Kennedy and his family sent this message: "Mom, Gwyneth Kennedy, passed away quietly Tuesday night around 8:30pm. Our family is so thankful for the prayers for her. She is now on the higher plain with Jesus and rejoined with our family members who have gone on before her. The celebration of her life will be this coming Monday at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, where her ashes will be interred with Dad's. Thanks for the care and concern from our LifeGroup and the congregation."

Alvin Buchanan will have gallbladder surgery at 1pm on Friday at PRMC.

Anita Roden had neck and spine surgery today in Tyler. She will be coming home tomorrow.

Allison Hanley fainted while giving blood tonight. She's all better now! Pretty scary for a few minutes there!

Kristi Bullard Moody sent this message tonight: "Dad's (Ed Bullard) sister, Hazel Auldridge, is in the hospital. She had a Sporadic blood clot that broke into 3 & is now in her lungs. His brother-in-law Johnie Douglas had a skin cancer removed from his nose. My grandbaby Kamrie will have a barium swallow in the morning & my daughter Haley a test in the afternoon with surgery Tuesday."

Debra Usry's sister, Julie Kay Smith, is still in PRMC/South/Room 620. She is continuing to have numerous health issues.

Dinah Border's friend, Tyler Graham, came home from Afghanistan for a visit. He was sent to North Carolina afterwards and is still there. Hopefully he won't have to go back!
Also, Cade Mahan (the 12 year old burn survivor) is doing well. He still has to wear the compression garmets. His grandfather, Lloyd Mahan, has numerous blockages in his heart. No surgery is planned at this time.

Jean O'Neal just received a phone call from her son, Ben. He took his wife, Jane, to the ER last night. She has been diagnosed with a "flesh eating disease" and probably won't survive. Ben and Jane were just here 2 weeks ago visiting with Jean. Please keep their family in your prayers.

Our sister, Destiny Johnson, 43, of Paris passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at her residence. Arrangements are pending at Fry Gibbs Funeral Home. No other details are known at this time.

Lindsay McCarter just sent this message: "Please add the Gaither family to your prayers. (Their daughter is Dusti. She had cancer and we've prayed for her for a long time.) Their house was damaged in the tornado that hit close to Honey Grove today. Please pray that insurance will cover the damage, since they are still struggling to pay bills from Dusti's illness."
Update: The swingset and playhouse that the Make A Wish Foundation built for little Dusti is completely destroyed.
