Ross Denman was baptized this morning. He is the son of Matt & Lisa Denman and the grandson of Don and Shirley Carroll.
- Pete and Lillian Taylor are continuing to recover at home after both were in the hospital recently.
- Allen Jumper was released from the hospital this week.
- Lilla Buchanan was also released from the hospital and was at church this morning!
- Carole Anderson asked that we pray for her strength to face whatever health issues may be going on at this time.
- Doris Wooldridge's son, David Wooldridge, has been diagnosed with the West Nile virus. His fever has finally broken.
- Jaymie Spencer-Phillips and her new baby girl, Jaylie June, are doing great.
- Vickie Humphrey's co-worker at PJC, Debbie Helliwell, has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She will have surgery Monday in Sherman.
- Our sympathy goes to the Jerry Bawcum family (owners of Toyota of Paris). Mr. Bawcum passed away this morning at his home. No other details are known at this time. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of his services.
- Jacob Brem, who was injured in a fireworks accident last Friday night, had eye surgery on Friday. He's doing better.
- Faith Williams is doing better. In fact, she's doing so well, that she will be released to the hospital apartments this week and then come home in a couple of weeks.
- Kyle and Monica Jones' friend, Mark Shetler, has cancer. The family has 6 children, the youngest with Down's Syndrome.
- Charla Bishop's cousin, Chuck Briggs, has had a stroke last week and is now in rehab. Also, another cousin of theirs, Dustin Clearman, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and had surgery this past week. Dustin is only 26 years old.
- Tanya Welch's brother and niece and other family members are dealing with many serious personal issues.
- Little baby Gus Fry is only 4 weeks old and has had seizures since birth. He's in NICU and seizures have lengthened and strengthened. Trying to find solutions for him.
- Keeli Williamson-Summers newborn son, Jace, is in NICU with some breathing difficulties.
- Kristie Nutt asked for prayers for her daughter, Alissa Nutt. She's making decisions about becoming a Christian.
- Mike and Gail Kennedy's grandson-in-law, Tanner Trapp, is deploying to Afghanistan this week.

Ladies Day in Greenville: Plans are in the making to attend the second annual Autumn Celebration of the Timeless Woman at Johnson Street Church of Christ on Saturday, September 15th. Registration is at 9:30 and lunch will be served the program. Author and speaker, Cassandra Miller will present "God Pass Me Me By". (Joanne Wood will be teaching a ladies class this fall based on Cassandra's book.) There is a sign-up board on the Ladies Bulletin Board.
Simple Supper: This weeks' entree is a Sub Sandwiches. Please donate at least $2 per person. If you did not get the chance to sign up Sunday morning and would like to join us for supper, please call the church office.

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon: We will be honoring the teachers of our community with a luncheon on August 21st as they prepare for the new school year. If you can help provide dessert, please sign the list at the Welcome Center. See James Hanley or Patrick Cannon if you would like to help prepare, serve or clean up. Thank you for your help.

5th Sunday Organizational Group: Sherrie Boyd would like to get a group together that would be in charge of setting up, serving and cleaning up after our 5th Sunday potluck lunches. There are only 4 potlucks each year. Please sign up at the Welcome Center if you are able to help.
