Isaiah 9:2-7

- The enemies’ power will be broken
Jesus will be known as the Mighty God.
MIGHTY means…
- A hero; A proven warrior, unafraid to battle and never defeated.
- One of high ranking power who is expected to lead the battle. HE IS NOT AFRAID OF A FIGHT!
When you and I face impossible situations we need to recognize that we have laid claim to a Savior who is both the creator of all things but also one who is the provider of overcoming power.

Sent us over to Greenville yesterday to meet with neurologist to see if something had changed. He then performed another EEG, sent him for a lab workup and another MRI. Won't know results until Monday, when we go back. Also, on Monday, they're going to do an MRI of his neck/spine.

Weekly Update - 12/14
Thank you Patrick for the message, Sunday morning, "O
Little Town of Bethlehem" with the text taken from Micah 5:2
- the “stone cut out from the mountain without human hands” was a prophecy about the virgin birth of Jesus
- the “kingdom that will never be destroyed or conquered, that will crush all these kingdoms into nothingness, and it will stand forever” is the kingdom of God which was ushered in by Jesus Himself.
In the later part of the 8th century B.C., a prophet of God by the name of Micah gave this prediction:
Micah 5:2 “As for you, Bethlehem of Ephrathah, even though you remain least among the
clans of Judah, nevertheless, the One who rules in Israel for Me will emerge
from you. His existence has been from antiquity, even from eternity.”
John 6:35 “Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty.’”
John 6:41b, 48 “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” “I am the bread of life.”
Jesus, the Bread of Life, born in the town known as the House of Bread, came to earth to give us eternal life by giving up the life of the Eternal One.
Where do you stand in relationship with the Bread of Life, Jesus the Messiah?

Weekly Update - 12/6
Thank you Patrick for the message this morning....A Rescue
Mission, with the text taken from Daniel 2.
At the beginning of this Advent season we are remembering when God left the glory and the splendor of heaven, and He plunged into this dark world on a rescue mission.
Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity (contempt, hostility) between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her Offspring; He will bruise and tread your head underfoot, and you will lie in wait and bruise His heel.”
“He is coming, the Messiah is coming.”Read Daniel 2:19-23; 26-28; 34; 36-37; 44-45.
Jesus, the Rock that was cut from the mountain without human hands, is growing into an everlasting Kingdom that will never be destroyed or conquered. What was once hidden, even to the prophets, has now been revealed in Jesus the Messiah.
So...
~~The vision goes past the fact that the stone would cut without human hands, and goes on to say that it will consume the Earth. ~~Many times we think of Christmas and only think of the Manger; Jesus is no longer in the Manger. ct a chapter in Daniel~~Christmas is a wonderful time of the year to remember the birth of Christ, but let’s not forget what His birth means to us...
1. God loves us and sent His Son Jesus.
2. Jesus became the perfect sacrifice for sin.
3. Jesus gave His life upon the cross so we could have forgiveness of sin. 4. Jesus rose from the grave that we might have Eternal life with Him.
5. The truth has been revealed to us—The King is coming back!!!
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Sermon Series for December: The sign of the baby Jesus in a manger is a reminder that points us to the day that Jesus will come back to earth again; this time not as a baby, but as the rightful King of Kings and Lord of Lords. In the meantime, we wait…

Weekly Update - 11/15
Thank you Patrick for our lesson this morning titled "Jesus’ Prayer for Unity", with the text from John 17.
This is a triumphant prayer.
John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may
have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have
overcome the world."
When Jesus comes to chapter 17 in prayer, he is coming in confidence, He is
coming into prayer acknowledging that He is an over comer. He is also
expressing His confidence in the Father.
Jesus comes to a place where he asks 5
things of the Father for us, and
I want to give them to you today.
1. He prays that you and I as the church will sense the glory of God. Jesus is asking the Father that those in the church will sense, and feel, and experience, and know His glory.
1. He prays that you and I as the church will sense the glory of God. Jesus is asking the Father that those in the church will sense, and feel, and experience, and know His glory.
2. Jesus prayed that we would not only sense the presence of God, but that
we would follow the Word of God. When the disciples received the word of God it gave them a
*meaning for life.
*motivation for life.
*mission for life.
3. Jesus prayed that we would become united
in the love of God.
4. Jesus prayed that the church would begin
to move toward the mission of the Father.
5. Jesus prayed that we would experience the joy of God.
