Weekly Update - 1/5/2015

OH WOW!  Patrick Cannon... do you have any idea just how hard it was to hear your message on Sunday morning?  You didn't just STEP on my toes...you SMASHED them!  The text, taken from Psalm 26, was something we ALL needed to hear to start this new year!  

SYMPATHY:

• Robyn Figgins and Cari Johnson's nephew, Ryan Smith, passed away on Dec. 20th.
• Molly Woodall's Mom, Louise McMillan, passed away on Christmas Eve.
• Daisy Redding's step-dad, Norwood DeJohn, also passed away on Christmas Eve.
• James Ray Rodgers' Mom, Mildred Rodgers, passed away on Dec 27th.
• Sarah Smith and Marjorie Clem's brother-in-law, Mike Dillingham, passed away on Jan. 1st.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

• Janie Russell is still not feeling well.
• Kimberly Daniels is having issues with her thyroid. She will be undergoing extensive testing soon.
• Sherry Welch is continuing 
• Derald Bulls' friend, Linda Clinton, a former Texas A&M/Commerce professor will be having heart surgery on Wednesday.
• Lesa Bulls messaged me today saying that Darrell White, longtime NLISD Asst Supt/Principal, passed away yesterday in Plano.  No details are available as of this time.
• Kathy Ballard asked that we pray for her friend, James Lipscomb.  He is in the hospital.

Simple Supper began in 2000 and the price has stayed the same for 14 years.  FOURTEEN YEARS!!!  Due to the rising costs of food, the price per person will increase to $3, starting with this weeks meal.  (This is still a bargain!)  If this is a hardship for any family, please contact Kyle Jones.
