Weekly Update 7/2

Thank you Grady King, from Interim Ministry Partners,  for explaining the process of the minister search and talking to us about the book of Acts. 

Grady will be with us twice a month for approximately 6 months. 

John Cannon will also be stepping in the pulpit 2 Sundays a month. 

OUR SYMPATHY:  

• Jared Baggett's grandfather, Lexie Everett, passed away this past week.  His funeral service was on Thursday.
• Clovis Vaughn's brother Raymond Vaughn, passed away this past week also.
• Former member, Joyce Allen, passed away this past week. Her services were on Saturday. 
• Buddy and Cindy Abernathy on the loss of their son Jeffrey Abernathy. He's also survived by his son Lane. They are cousins of Susan George. 

CONGRATULATIONS to Phillip and D'Lynn (Gage) Bueno on the birth of their son, Luca Tobias Bueno was born at 8:54 pm weighing in at 7 11 1/2, he was 19 3/4 inches long. 

Very proud grandparents are Gary and Debra Gage. 

PRAYER REQUESTS:

• Benette Russell had foot surgery last week.  She's at home recuperating.
• Dianna Welch had a biopsy of her thyroid this Wednesday and found out that it was benign!
• Loretta Nabors is waiting to hear the results of her mylogram , from last week.
• Mark Welch will have cataract surgery on July 11.
• William and Lucy Offutt - Health
• Mike Grigsby - Is now back in Paris and is at Stillhouse - Room 62.
• John Figgins - Health

• Webber Woodall - Will be having a total knee replacement.

• Sandy Welch (Kristi Anthony's Mom) fell last Sunday and broke her hip.  She did have surgery on Monday.  They have found another issue and are awaiting results on that.
• Dr. Robert Zimmerman (friend of Derald Bulls) - Cancer.
• Matt Welch, youngest brother of Kristi Anthony, has been told that he needs a liver transplant.
• Allyson Fasken (teacher at PISD) Cancer.
• Larry Rhea, Sr. (He is the son-in-law of Mary Tallant. Larry is the owner of Starnet.) Cancer.
• Janet Fouse - (former member) Cancer.
• Joe Hayes' brother has had a stroke.
• Sierra Faulkner - 3 year old with cancer. (Friend of Molly's)
• Jerry Savage cancer has returned and is aggressive. He is a preacher in Sulphur Springs.
• Tammy Huffman-Beazley(former member) Cancer
• Debbie Daniel (friend of Molly's) - Cancer

WEDNESDAY NIGHT WORSHIP:  This Wednesday night (7/5) at 6:30pm, we will have a combined worship with our Hispanic congregation, at their building.  We will have a devo followed by a watermelon feast and fellowship time.  There will also be a volleyball game for those interest in accepting their challenge!  Player or spectator...just come for the FUN!!!!

RAINBOW ROOM ITEMS: Girls pants sizes 3T-6x and juice boxes

PANTRY NEEDS:  Needs restocking!!!  Things they can use peanut butter, jelly, soup, crackers, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned meat, 1 pound bags of beans or rice, cornbread and cereal.  There is a more immediate need for hygiene items such as; deodorant, bath soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste and toilet paper.  Please help if you can!!!

SIMPLE SUPPER:  The S. S. crew is taking a summer break.
