After suffering a heart attack a week ago, Gene Stallings was released from the hospital, in Dallas, yesterday and was quickly on his way to College Station for a banquet in honor of his 1967 Texas A&M football team. It's the 50th anniversary of A&M beating Coach Bryant's Alabama team.
He was interviewed yesterday afternoon and the coach said, "You have been good to me, so send over the cameras and I will tell you my thoughts."
The reporter said his voice is weak but his mind is clear.
