Mid-Week Prayers and Updates 7/31
Pray for Cooper Bell
Cooper Bell
The Bell family, in Roxton, has requested prayers for their son. I've included the information, starting from Sunday morning.
First post on Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m.: Seven year old Cooper Bell was on his Dad's Razor ATV, on Saturday, and he and his cousin were ejected from it. (His parents are Jerimy Bell and Stacie Cooper Bell from Roxton.) Care flight picked him up from the house and took him to Children’s Medical City Dallas. He broke his femur and he got out of surgery around 3:30 Sunday morning. Doctor said he shredded his muscles in the upper leg but he fixed the femur. He will have to have a couple more surgeries this week to clean out all the grass in the leg.
Sunday 12:35 p.m.: They did another x-ray and his other leg is also fractured. They will do surgery on Monday at 8:30 a.m.
Monday 6:06 p.m.: Cooper had his second surgery and doctor was still not able to close the wound. They are concerned about infection and added another antibiotic. They also sent tissue for culturing. He is considered high-risk at this point. Another surgery is scheduled for Wednesday morning and a plastic surgeon has been consulted as well. Please continue to pray for complete healing.
Today 7 a.m.: Cooper's surgery is at 7:30am. Pray no infection and that they can close the wound. Also they will be putting in a pic-line. We have been up most of the night again with lots of right leg pain.
Today 11 a.m.: Cooper's surgery didn't go as well as they expected. They removed dead skin and muscle. They were able to put in the pic-line. They said he will be in a lot of pain for the next few days and will have another surgery on Friday.

Update on Lonny Parson 7/23
Lonny is the preacher from Honey Grove we've had on our prayer list for months.
His wife posts updates daily.
Day 170: Well.... today is one of those days I feel like We got kicked in the gut every time the dust settled .... I say that because the news we got today is, the plans we had in place for Lonny’s next step isn’t an option because we’ve been in the hospital too long.... (God has a plan) Our second round of not so great news is Lonny will have to have his left leg amputated, we’ve had amazing care & our team has done everything possible to keep it & it’s just not going to do anything but cause more sickness & pain for Lonny. Honestly he is more ok with it than all of us. He says he doesn’t need legs to preach...♥️ Please pray for us to all give Lonny the love & support he needs to process this, & know that we along with Lonny are so very grateful he is ALIVE! We don’t have it twisted, we know we are super blessed! We also know this is super hard.... The surgery will probably be this Thursday.... he did say he wants a fast “fat rascal scooter” I told him no he’s getting a pirate 🏴☠️ peg leg 😊♥️ i love his humor ♥️ (God has a plan) And of course then there’s the fact that his blood pressure dropped to 60/23 last night & we had to call a rapid response team in. It was quite funny though because Lonny was perfectly fine & looking at me going “ let me have my speaking valve & can you adjust these pillows? “ 🙄🤷🏻♀️ Of course no one in the room can hear him I was just reading his lips & finally I was like look there are 20 people in this room trying to save your life can you just shut-up about the pillows😂😂 Please pray for us to rest, & rest in the Lord.... also for us to remember God has a plan..... Lonny’s life verse really does describe all of this... Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, & lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, & He shall direct your paths.

Update on Larry Sprinkle - 7/10
My son Larry Sprinkle had a heart cath on Monday. The cath showed no blockages, which is good, but his heart is still very weak. His ejection fraction is at 20%. (Anything below 40% is heart failure.) The surgeon said that he needs a pacemaker/defibrillator. (This will regulate the heart and will also shock it, if it gets out of rhythm.)
Please pray specifically for his heart to get stronger and for his heart to last a long time.
