"WAIT"

(Luke 1:5-25)

I.     We are introduced to Zechariah and Elizabeth. (1:5-7)

II.   Gabriel appears. (1:8-23)

III.  Elizabeth conceived. (1:24-25)

One tough question: Despite disappointment will we remain committed to God?

Lessons to Learn:

1.  Sometimes...

2.  But, righteous people refuse to become bitter in their lives.

3.  An encounter with the divine is meant to "shake us up".

4.  Read, remember, reflect and rejoice!

5.  Waiting becomes a primary activity of the faithful.

Remember Psalm 27:14: "Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." Randy... I have to include my favorite verse about waiting: Exodus 14:14: "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

• Susan George has MS and they've found more lesions. She will be having another round of MRI's in January and a spinal tap on Jan. 27th.
• Johnny Bassett was in the ER last night with a high fever, he's back at Stillhouse now.
• Ruth Ann Stallings - Had a fall, but no broken bones. She was at church today.
• Kristi Anthony - She has been in PRMC this week.  She is now home.
• Dorothy Pearce - She is now in PRMC/Rehab/Room 304, for 10-15 days of intensive therapy.

• Barbara Adams (Kathy Daniels' Mom), after her fall last week and surgery to repair her hip, she is now in Stillhouse for rehab. They did discover that she had a broken clavicle.

• Bobby Johns (Randy John's Dad) - Is recovering from a stroke. Is in rehab.

THANK YOU:  We have had a fantastic response to our blanket drive.  Those collected were delivered to the warming table at the Christians in Action luncheon last week.  We will continue collecting blankets for the December luncheon on December 20th, so if you haven't had the chance to give YOU STILL CAN!

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM:  Mark your calendars now for Dec. 22nd at 5pm and join us to support our KFC kids, and a few adults, for our annual Christmas Program. There will be cookies and cocoa served after the program.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING is being planned for Monday, December 23rd. Stephen Gerrald will have more information next week.
