Update on Luke Chipman

Melissa Chipman posted this update:
I have prayed Psalms 91:11-12 over my children their entire lives. Psalms 91 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. It was my go to scripture yesterday when I was afraid. I especially took comfort in verses 14-16. I love the Lord with all my being, and I do acknowledge Him at all times. God heard our prayers, and I know he heard your prayers. He rescued and He protected. Luke’s CT scan was perfectly normal! They did not find any abnormalities. The diagnosis is Myocarditis, most likely caused by the stomach bug he had last week. He will take 5 days of prescribed NSAIDS for the infection/inflammation. He may have mild chest pain, as it is like a bruise and it takes time to heal. 99.999% of young, healthy patients have no residual effects. He will have an echocardiogram in a month to make sure all is well. We’re going to bust out of here soon. Thank you all for joining us in prayer for our boy. All glory be to God!

Update on Johnny Nabors

Loretta just posted this update:
We are HOME!!!! The final diagnoses was pleurisy. That’s what the cardiologist said it was, it’s annoying but nothing to worry about. Following up with Dr Hashmi on Monday the 15th. Thank you everyone for all the prayers, concerns, comments, text and visits during Johnny’s hospital stay. We appreciate each one of you and know that we are surround with continuous prayers from all our friends and family.
A little hospital humor never hurt anyone... when we got home I got the mail out of our mailbox and there was a PRMC hospital bill in there and I told Johnny that look here the bill beat you home🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ He said that’s about right!!! (p.s. it was my bill from this past November when I was in the hospital)

Prayer Request - 4/8

Ok folks... this is a personal prayer request today.  Please pray for my son, Larry Sprinkle.  Larry lives in Dallas, works for Children's Health, runs/walks/works out daily.  He is an only child, which means he has me, Webber and his dad Steve to worry about.
Saturday he started having palpitations and I told him then... go to the ER.
On Sunday, he kept having them.  FINALLY at 3am this morning he went to the ER.

This is his explanation:  I went to the ER early this morning because I was having repeated heart palpitations and hadn’t been able to sleep since Saturday. Long story short......They did an ECG on me and I have a “left bundle branch block” in my heart. They also did a chest X-ray and I have congestive heart failure, a moderately enlarged heart and looks like I had a slight heart attack within the past 6 months. Going to have to see a cardiologist ASAP to see what the next steps are. I’m freaking scared and I’m too young for this crap so please get checked out.

So, specifically pray for his heart to be HEALED, for my shingles to be GONE and for Webber's headaches to subside.  I take him to the neurologist tomorrow for more Botox... HOPEFULLY this second round will help him.

Weekly Update - 4/7

For the next six weeks, Randy and Jared will be "co-preaching" a series on "The Church and the Family".
Today they gave us a preview of what's to come, with the text from Matthew 5:13-16 and Deuteronomy 6:1-2.
Randy also talked about the book "Think Orange" by Reggie Joiner. This book will be prefaced throughout this series. It takes a "look at what would happen if the church and families combined their efforts to create a revolutionary strategy to affect the lives of children".
If you click here, you can order the book.

Prayer Request 4/7

Loretta Nabors sent this message:
We have had a very long night😳
For those that don’t know Johnny woke me up around 3am this morning with sharp pains in his rib cage area on the left side. So we decide to come to ER to have him checked. They did bloodwork, Xrays and CT scan. Everything heart related checked out fine so the ER dr seemed to think it is pleurisy (Inflammation of the tissues that line the lungs and chest cavity) But with his history of heart problems they decided to admit him as a precaution so they could monitor him. When we got to the 4th floor the Hospitalist came in and he thinks the problem is muscular (not quite convinced it is because of the pain starting suddening & very sharp but I don’t have MD after my name either 🤷🏻‍♀️ so who knows) They have had to give him several BP meds to bring his Bp down it has been way high🥴. He is getting muscle relaxers as well as breathing treatments just to cover all bases. He will see a cardiologist from Advanced Heart Clinic in the morning, his cardiologist Dr Hashmi is out of town. He will be NPO after midnight just in case anything comes up that needs to be done in the morning. We appreciate all the prayers, visits, text and phone calls from everyone. I will update as soon as I know more.
