Updater on Kristi Anthony - 7/31
Just posted by Jay: "Kristi's memory is getting better, its slow, so very slow BUT forward progress is progress. We never know what to expect as each new day begins but at this stage with memories being recalled there is so much depression, fear, feelings of insecurity and sadness. It's so tough to see, very hard on us all but especially the boys. To watch Kristi struggle is heart breaking but there is a positive side to everything bad, she is getting better and these difficult times are all part of her total recovery. God is in Control and He is Faithful and His Promises are Certain. Keep the Faith, Please keep praying for Kristi and please remember Austin on his mission trip to Honduras. Thanks to all - Jay"
Congratulations.....
Aaron Scott Marsters, son of Sherry and Mike Marsters, married Megan Morgan on July 27, in Natchitoches, Lousiana.

Update on Kristi Anthony - 7/21
Posted by Jay at 7am: "My friends, we got up early in the morning to take Kristi to the bathroom and when we were getting back into bed Kristi fell and cut her foot. It was bleeding and I was cleaning and dressing the cut and she was apologizing for everything that I was having to do all the time worried about me and not herself. A few minutes later I asked her if her foot hurt and she didn't remember it. That broke my heart for two reasons, one that she couldn't remember and two I had a flashback of those critical times in the hospital when I thought that I was going to loose her.
STOP now please. If you life is normal, boring, and common. If you are worried about where you are going to eat lunch, vacation this summer, or what you are going to do this afternoon. Please stop. I've lived that life and taken NORMAL for granted. I'm living proof of a person who did not appreciated the people in my life.
Now I am here to tell you that the loved ones in your life are ALL that matter. Put aside the worries about the materials things, what you're going to eat, and what you're going to wear. Don't worry about where you are going or if you even get to go there and STOP and thank God for the people who matter in your life. When it is all said and done that is all that is really important anyway. Take it from someone who has learned the hard way. Show your family how much they mean to you today, you may not have tomorrow - Jay"

Update on William Offutt - 7/11
Lucy Offutt sent this message tonight: "Wanted to update you on Wild William's escapades (weak attempt at humor in face of disaster). His BP and heart rate have been very low on a regular basis for months now, but continues to get worse. He has been falling (face first every time) on at least a weekly basis. His BP crashes several times a week and the new cardiac dysrhythmia causes him to actually lose his peripheral pulses - not good! He is confused when this happens or he simply roams the house during the middle of the night and winds up falling and with no memory of the event. He has permanent hypoxia brain injury at this point. We finally got his primary care doc to manage his meds better and were also able to have his cardiac surgery moved up. He was supposed to have surgery in the latter part of August, but today, the surgeon had a cancellation and was able to schedule William for surgery next week. We will be leaving for Presby Dallas Wed. afternoon for pre-ops Thursday and surgery Friday. Please pray that the doctors can find the reason for the problems and eliminate them so he can live a bit longer. We have missed being able to be with our brothers and sisters."

Prayer Request - 7/7
Marty Scott (a co-worker's husband) is in Baylor Hospital today....waiting for the Drs. to collect stem cells for transplant to a man, tomorrow. Which could possibly save the man's life!
At one of Faith Williams benefits, last year..."Be The Match" came and sat up a booth. There was a whole group of her friends that had their mouth swabbed.
Marty was contacted in mid-May, and told that he was a possible match for someone and asked if he could come and have some more testing done. When they found out he was a "sure" match they had him come in and did a complete physical to make sure he was healthy.
Marty started taking shots on July 4th to increase his white blood cells. They will try to take 5 MILLION from him today! The shots caused him a little pain, from the bone marrow producing more cells.
That same day, the man started receiving chemo....to kill all of his cells.
He will now have Marty's DNA and blood type.
