Dinah Border sent this message: Naomi Bassett fell in Johnny's hospital room. She has been x-rayed. No broken bones. She is going to Johnny's room when someone comes with a wheelchair. Charolotte Bollman, Sandra Carroll and I are all with her.

Sophia Johnson has been offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to train with former Olympic Gold Medalist, AVP World Champion and NCAA Coach Pat Powers. She is 1 of ONLY 8 girls chosen in the ENTIRE United States to attend this prestigious training camp in Carlsbad, California.
Sophia is a 15 year old young lady with a tenacious passion for volleyball and an obvious God given talent that has helped her get to this point in her life. Sophia is a freshman at North Lamar High School in Paris, Texas and is on the varsity volleyball team. She is the daughter of Lance and Cari Johnson and is no stranger to adversity. At a very young age, her father was diagnosed with ALS and as a family they have walked this difficult journey together—but you better believe that even though simple tasks that you and I take for granted are now very difficult for Lance, he is in the stands supporting Sophia at every game and tournament possible.
While at this camp, she will continue her studies through a homeschool program and vigorous work out and practices. This has the potential to open up many collegiate scholarship opportunities and possible career opportunities for this dedicated and gifted athlete! Because of the level of care needed at home, Lance and Cari will be unable to travel with Sophia, however her older sister Selena will be able to accompany her as her guardian to assist with her care while she is away from home. All funds raised will help alleviate the burden off of this precious family, while helping them provide their caring, compassionate, and trustworthy daughter the opportunity of a lifetime. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and for your support of Sophia! It is appreciated more than words can say.  Please click here for the gofundme link.

Update on Horace Johnson - 10/19

Please lift Horace & Sue and the entire family up in your prayers!

From Sue...Update on Horace:
Finishing up radiation this week.  Won't continue treatment after that.  Comfort level is good, just low energy.  Good appetite, sleeping well, funny as ever, seeing visitors.  He is full of hope and confidence in his earthly and eternal future, the kind of hope you have when your team is up 49-0 in the 4th quarter--more like certainty than hope!  Kinda hard to be gloomy and down around him, although we all recognize the normal human sorrow.

Prayer Requests - 10/18

Wanda McFadden has been admitted to PRMC/Room 363.  No other details are known at this time.

Mike Grigsby has been moved to PRMC/5th Floor.  No other update on him.

Praise Report 10/18

Lesa Bulls' sent this praise report on her Dad, Willard Brockinton:  The blood clot in his leg has dissolved! And his blood pressure it staying up, instead of being so low! Praise the Lord!
