Urgent Prayer Request 11/17

Dorothy Pearce just sent this request: Please add my 12-year old grandson, Carter Pearce, to the prayer request list. He has a fractured hip and is now  being transported under sedation to Children's Medical Center in Plano for surgery by a specialist. There was no surgeon around Longview who would do the surgery on a 12-year old. Please pray for him and my son and daughter in law as they go through this.

Can you help?

We had a request from someone in the community this morning that maybe you can help with. If anyone has a mattress (with or without a frame--they are sleeping on air mattresses right now) that they no longer need, we have a family that is having to start over and is in need. Please let the office now and we will get them in touch with you. Thanks!

Update on California fires 11/10

UPDATE: Please keep praying for Randy and Loree's son and daughter-in-law Taylor and Katie Johns...This is their street. They live at the base of that mountain. So doesn’t look hopeful. Taylor is flying home now and will try to find Katie. She is safe with friends but no one has talked to her since yesterday after lunch. No cell service. Last known to be on Zuma beach with evacuees.

Also, Claude and Mary Jones' grandson.... they haven’t heard from their grandson today. The fire was going up Corral Canyon toward their house. Don’t know if they still have a house.

Pray for everyone in the area.

Are you a medical provider?

With the medical emergency we experienced during morning worship last week we identified the need to have all of our medical personnel more organized. We need to know who is trained, ready, and able to help if and when something like that happens again...Anyone who is a nurse, EMT, paramedic, or other medical provider is asked to meet very briefly with Jay Cannon following morning worship Sunday. We will just identify who’s who and show everyone where all of our emergency medical supplies are kept. Please plan to stay around a bit for this meeting Sunday! And thanks for being willing to yours your gift and skills whenever necessary!
