Update on Dustin Smith 8/3
Haley Bulls Smith posted this update on Dustin: Well friends, I’m here asking you to pray for my family once again—specifically for healing for Dustin. After a couple weeks of what we thought was a normal illness, he started coughing up quite a bit of blood on Tuesday and we were admitted to the hospital in Paris and then transferred to Baylor on Wednesday. Since then, he has been seen by a lot of different doctors and they are trying to get to the bottom of the cause of all of it and how to fix it. What we do know is that he has an abscess of some form in his mediastinal area (chest by heart and lungs)—they were able to biopsy this today so we will know more once pathology comes back. What we need to know is where it came from/how it got there/what has to be done to fix it for the long term. Please pray for the doctors and nurses that are working with him and for our precious kiddos as well as everyone who is pitching in to help take care of things at home. We covet your prayers and are so thankful for those who have already been praying. So thankful for the hope we have in Jesus and for the community we have through the Body of Christ.

Prayer Requests - 8/2
Cooper Bell will have another surgery is at 1:30 today. He has been in lots of pain all night and this morning. Please pray today for strength and guidance. (Coop just keeps telling us he wants to go home and he has no idea we will be here for 2 to 3 weeks.) He has developed sores on his bottom. The bone surgeon will make sure his leg is still set. We will be looking to go back for another surgery Sunday or Monday. If all looks good we might be ready to do a skin graft at this time. Nothing is set in stone, prayers are needed that there is no infection.
Lonny Parson's surgery to amputate his other leg was hard on him, but he is very stable,, They will do their best to keep his pain under control so he can rest well. He was able to have dialysis yesterday, and will have another dialysis treatment today to get more fluid off. They won’t do more surgery until late next week. We are praying that after a few days of rest & healing he will start to feel better & heal.
