Local businessman and friend to many, Tommy Gantt passed away Tuesday afternoon at the VA/Dallas hospital.  He'd had cancer surgery 3 weeks ago and did well afterwards.  But soon his body started rejecting.
His wife Nancy stated that there will be no funeral service and he will be cremated, as per his wishes.
Any monetary donations are asked to be sent to the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial, a cause that he was passionate about.

It's that time of year.....

Can you help? 9/13

Youth and adults who can stay and help... Tonya is recruiting for help taking down flags Wednesday night immediately following classes. Please stay and help if you can!

Just be patient...

9/11 has been on everyone's minds this week.  I saw this on facebook and it made me think about how impatient we all can be.  We get angry with ourselves for having to take the time to re-do something or go back home to get something.  When all along, God had already planned for that to happen...just to save us.  Just to make me realize that I am "exactly where I'm meant to be at this very moment.".

Prayer Request 9/13

Please pray for Randy Nations.  He had a stroke and was taken by ambulance to Medical City last night. He is in ICU. He is awake and moving and will have an MRI at 9.

Urgent Prayer Request 9/6

My friend, Kelly Stewart, fell on Sunday and broke his ankle. They took him to PRMC/ER and it was decided that he needed surgery. They were about to take him in and he coded. They were able to bring him back, but had to put him on a vent, which they have weaned him off of.
There is still no response from him at all today.
His wife, Dawn, is asking for urgent prayers. She has said, "Its in Gods Hands Now". Can't say it any better than that. Please join me in lifting Kelly and the family up in prayers.
Kelly and Dawn are the owners of The Silver Skillet in Cooper.
