Congratulations to The Clay Spencer Family!

Clay & Maureen Spencer are the proud parents of another baby girl!  Jaymie Spencer-Phillips posted this message:  "She arrived at 8:39 am weighing 7 lb. 9 oz. and was 20 in. long. She has a little fuzzy head of hair and a pretty little face. She was wide awake and enjoying her new world.  Maurine is feeling great after what ended up being a quick delivery. Clay says from the time they pulled in the parking lot to the time she was born was MAYBE 15 min.!!!! The nurses had to "catch" the baby and the Dr. showed up soon after. No name yet, but they are working on it. I'll post as soon as a name is announced!  Praise GOD for a healthy baby and a healthy Mommy!"

Prayer Request Update - 7/6 - 10:11pm

Mike Shields (the minister at Paris First Assembly of God) posted this message tonight:  "...thankful for your prayers. The treatment was not without its problems, from the beginning. That extended the treatment time, and it's been a very long day. The port malfunctioned at first, and that's crucial. Then, it had to be interruped two times to administer other meds--antinausea and benadryl. I'm better this evening, but still want your prayers."

Lesa Bulls sent this message tonight:  "Please add Sonja Carter (NL teacher and wife of Steve Carter (carpenter) to our prayer list. She has 3 tumors on her thyroid and the dr. is pretty sure they are cancerous. She is having surgery this week."

Please remember former Roxton school teacher, Carol Nelson, to your lists.  Carol has battled cancer for the last 15 years.  She just found out a couple of weeks ago that it's come back.  She arrived at M.D. Anderson in Houston today, ready to battle it again.

Margaret sent this message this afternoon: "Jim Parker called a little bit ago to let us know that Dolores is in ICU on the South campus. Jim was pretty shook up."

Brandon Allen was admitted to PRMC/S yesterday the same symptoms that he had last week.  (This is from that Prayer Request.....Jerry & Joyce Allen's grandson, has been admitted to a hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC with bacterial meningitis. This type is HIGHLY contagioius and there is a major concern for his wife and baby.)  He was released today.  They are working to get appointments for him in Dallas.

Weekly Update - 7/5 - 8:19pm

Thank you Patrick for the wonderful message of "Helping Others Find Freedom" yesterday morning and reminding us that EVERYDAY of our lives, we celebrate the freedom we have in Jesus! 
Also, thank you Patrick, for representing LACOC in the parade on Saturday morning.  It's such a wonderful feeling to see the Ministers United!

PRAISE:  Jerry & April McClour were baptized yesterday morning!

• Please remember Betty House's family in your prayers.  There will be a private burial Tuesday morning and then at 11:30am, there will be a Celebration of Life in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
• Greg Beckmon has walking pneumonia.
• Louise Peace will have a pacemaker inserted on July 20.
• James Walker is in serious health at this time and will be having a kidney removed.
• Rachel Spencer's friend, Joann Ludwig from Grapevine, was in a terrible wreck and broke lots of bones and will be in the hospital & rehab for months.
• Anna Zant's Mom, Christine Mashburn, is in Rehab at PRMC/North.
• I received this message from Linda Erwin last night:  "Please add Mike and I to the prayer list as we travel. We have had a safe trip and haven't seen any accidents. I pray that it continue that way and those traveling can enjoy time away from home, safely. I will get to see my family which we don't see very often. It is always a blessing to get to do that."

CONGRATULATIONS:  Chandler Jones won a Gold Medal in Tumbling at the Junior Olympics National Championships at Virginia Beach, VA this past week.  She also received a Silver Medal on the Trampoline.  This was in the 10 year old division.  WoooHOOOO Chandler - WAY TO GO!

SIMPLE SUPPER: This weeks entree will be Chicken Casserole.  If you didn't get the chance to sign up on Sunday morning, you still have the chance to come and eat with us by calling the church office by noon on Tuesday.

Betty House - 7/2 - 2:53pm

Our Sister, Betty House, passed away this morning at 10:30 a.m. at her home at Pine Tree Ranch Assisted Living on Pine Mill Road in Paris. The family will receive friends at Fry Gibbs Funeral Home Monday Night from 6 to 8 pm. The family will have a private burial service Tuesday morning with a Memorial Service and a Celebration of her life to follow at 11:30 am at Fry Gibbs Funeral Home. 

Please keep Dick and the children in your prayers.

Prayer Request Update - 7/1 - 2pm

Dennis Malone was baptized yesterday afternoon.  (Dennis is the father of Jeremy Malone.) 

Kristi Garrett is in Alaska with Landon at this time.  Landon has a service dog now and is continuing his therapy and training.  God has been so good in his healing of Landon...continue the prayers that his right side will heal completely.

Riedie Faires was at church last night and feeling MUCH better.

Ed Bullard was also at church last night too. 

I talked with Robbie Padgett about her Mom, Sandra Leath, last night.  Sandra is at Dubois on the North Campus receiving physical therapy.  She should be there about 10 days.

We had such a good time at the Ice Cream Social last night.  Thanks to all those who prepared the delicious treats for us and for those who served.  Here's a few images of last night.
