Don't Forget:  Set your clocks BACK one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night!
AND....This Sunday is LIFE GROUP Sunday!

Debra Usry sent these 2 prayer requests:  "As part of my pre-surgery screening, I am having a Thallium Stress Test in Dallas this coming Monday morning. They told me I would be there at least 3 to 5 hours, with a break for lunch. They said I can drive myself home afterwards, but would like someone to go with me that can drive my car, just in case I don't feel like driving. I should be okay. Just pray that the cardiologist clears me for my surgery in three months."

Also:  "Phyllis Giguere will have a MRI done of her back and see the Scoliosis Dr. at the Scoliosis Center in Baylor Hosp. Plano. on Tuesday. Please pray that she has done what they asked of her and will then schedule her surgery to fix her back. Her upper spine has a 60% scoliosis curve, then she has a section of her spine that has "flapped over", then she has a bulging disc below that and lower back spinal stenosis worsening toward the tail bone. After surgery, she will have rods from the bend of her neck all the way down to above the tail bone and will be taller after surgery than she is now. She can not wait!"

Prayer Request - 11/4 2:53 p.m.

Corey Gray has been released from the hospital.  Carol Kay would like to thank everyone so much for their prayers!

Prayer Request - 11/4 2:27 p.m.

Dianna Welch has a staff infection in her foot that developed after surgery.  She has been on oral antibiotics for that.  The doctor took her stitches out yesterday and last night she was in her wheelchair and ran into something and split the incision open.  There is no way to stitch it back up because it needs to heal from the inside out.  Dr. Kyle Jones came to her rescue last night and cleaned it and bandaged it back up.  Thank you so much, Kyle!  She is in big time need of all of her church families' prayers.  She is frustrated because she is back at square one.  The doctor is doing a culture on the infection to see if it is the resistant or non-resistant kind.  Please pray specifically that the staff infection isn't the kind that requires hospitalization!  Thanks so much for your prayers!

Prayer Request - 11/4 - 8:42am

Webber's dad passed away on Tuesday night.  Thank you all so much for your prayers, love and concern for us during this time.  There's no way to express how much those prayers have been felt.  The visitation for W.L.Woodall will be Friday night from 6-8pm at Coker Matthews Funeral Home in Greenville.  His funeral service will be at 10:30am on Saturday morning in the chapel of the funeral home.

Corey Gray has blood clots in both lobes of both lungs and in both legs.  They have started Coumadin by mouth and Lovonox shots in his belly.  He has tested positive for a blood disease, which causes the blood to clot easily, which means he will have to take the blood thinners for the rest of his life.  The Dr. just came in to talk with them and said that she will be releasing him from the hospital.  One more Dr. has to approve his release before that can happen.

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

Prayer Request - 11/2 - 12:19pm

Carter Townes is the 3 year old who has been diagnosed with leukemia.  A benefit account for him has been opened at First Federal Community Bank.

He has just been taken to have the lumbar puncture and to get his first dose of chemo and will also get his port. His fever is better; please continue to pray for him and his family.
You can keep in touch with his progress by visiting his Caring Bridge site @ www.caringbridge.org/visit/cartertownes.  I will put a link to the right of our blog so you can just click and read.

Prayer Requests - 11/2 - 10:38am

They have taken everything off of Webber's Dad this morning.  They are only giving him morphine now.  Thank you all for your prayers for our family during this time.  Please continue to pray that the transition will be easy and peaceful.

I just received a text from Carol Kay Gray. She said they started Corey on the blood clot meds last night. He is better today, but had to have some pain meds real quick this morning. They are giving him morphine and 800 mg of Advil for the pain and it seems to be helping. They are still waiting on results from the Doppler of the legs and what they have to do next. He has had a pulmonary embolism (it's like a heart attack of the lungs) and x-rays showed a dark spot on his lungs where he was deprived of oxygen at some point in time.

There has been an account set up here at First Federal Community Bank "Corey Gray Benefit Account".

Prayer Request - 11/1 - 8:05pm

Margaret Lough sent this message:  "Please add the husband, of one of my closest friends Bev, to our prayer list. He is Lee Goodson, just diagnosed with Stage III Adenocarcinoma lung cancer. He will have a PET scan this week to see if the cancer is anywhere else in his body.  Lee's oldest sister, Shirley, is near death right now with liver cancer."

Prayer Request Update - 11/1 - 2:58pm

I sent out a message over the weekend, regarding little Carter Townes (3 years old).  He lives in Clarksville. His parents are Charlie and Timberlee Townes. He was diagnosed with A.L.L. (leukemia) over the weekend. He is at Children's Medical Center/Dallas.
There is a blood drive for Carter Townes on Tuesday from 12 to 4 at Lamar County Electric. Please go give if you are anywhere near there!

Corey Gray has a bleed out where the surgery was done on his skull last month. He has had a "lung heart attack" and there is a dark spot on his lungs where he's been deprived of oxygen at some point in time recently. There are MULTIPLE clots in both lungs...top and bottom.  She said that he hasn't been eating or drinking for the last few days and is VERY weak. They are giving him morphine for the pain.

Prayer Request - 11/1 - 11:33am

Debby McNeal sent this message today:  "I want to thank everyone for their prayers for my father, Elmer "Butch" McNeal. Prayers were answered but not as we hoped. Dad passed away last night during a procedure to relieve a pneumothorax."  Please keep Kay, James & Debby in your prayers during this time.  Services have not been planned as of yet.

Prayer Requests - 11/1 - 10:12am

Continue to remember Webber Woodall's Dad, W.L. "Red" Woodall.  He is still in grave condition in Red River Regional/Bonham.  The doctor says his unstable condition prevents them from putting in a feeding tube at this time.

Corey Gray was taken to Presbyterian Hospital/Dallas again on Friday.  He's not feeling well at all.  They did an MRI and spinal tap and sent him home.  He got worse during the night last night and has been admitted to the hospital with blood clots in his lungs.

Vickie Humphrey sent this message:  "I wanted to ask you to please add Barney Sawyer to our prayer list.  He had a tumor (skin cancer) removed from his lip.  It had grown down into  a nerve and they were not able to get it all.  He will have a scan at the Cancer Center on Friday to make sure that there is no other cancer anywhere else before he begins radiation treatments the following week.  He will have 7 treatments, assuming that the scan on Friday shows no other cancer."
