She will stay there for a 3-4 weeks for IV antibiotics. She is still hurting pretty bad, but hopefully the antibiotics will help clear up the infection and ease the pain SOON. Thanks for all the prayers, texts, and messages. It's good to have so many friends that care so much!"

Prayer Request - 7/30 - 7:07pm

Linda Erwin sent this prayer request for her little friend, Gus Nathan Fry"He was born July 17th and weighed 9 lbs. He is the son of Micah and Jennifer Fry, grandson of Michael and Pam Fry. He spent several days in Presbyterian/Dallas/NICU because he was having seizures. He was released yesterday to go home but today was taken to Medical City Children's Hospital. This is what his Mom, Jennifer posted," So this is my understanding of where we are...Gus has a small clot in the subarachnoid layer of his right occipital lobe and a small stroke that occurred sometime soon after birth or during. This is causing irritation in his brain which is causing him to have seizures. It should clear up on its own, but until it does he needs to be on seizure meds to control them. We haven't got the right dosages/meds yet to get them under control. So we are working on that. The doctors don't think his condition is worsening, it's just not under control yet and isn't getting better as quickly as they thought. We are at Medical City and will be here a few days. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers and keep them coming!!"

    Prayers for Faith - 7/27 - 9:50pm

This was posted earlier tonight regarding about Faith Williams ... "Faith has had a rough 24+ hours.  Two chaplains came to see her today...to offer peace at a difficult time...it was evident when they left they had received more than they came with! Donnie (her husband) shared with them several incidents where God has worked miracles in so many lives! The younger Chaplain was quite taken aback, the older was enjoying himself!
God isn't through...if there is anything that you feel God wants you to take care of, or do, please do! Let each of us be vessels of service to God. And when we come to Him in prayer, praise and thanksgiving for Faith He sees children that love Him and bring glory to His name."

    PRAISE HIM!

I have 3 wonderful stories of PRAISE and THANKSGIVING tonight!  I couldn't wait to share them with everyone!!!!
    • Faith Williams' husband Donnie wrote this message tonight:  "As most of you know, today was a HUGE day for Faith. She successfully was infused with stem cells from a 23 year old young lady from Canada. God bless this unselfish lady. This lady should have other things on her mind other than helping someone she doesn't even know in another country, but God works in mysterious ways. She still has at least 4 weeks to go, and her kids miss her badly. But I tell ya, it will be worth it all when I bring Faith over the threshold of Paris. She misses all the things that make life normal and those things involve you who are reading this. You made her life blossom and she still wants to bring those smiles to everyones face and tell you she misses you. Life is good but it's golden when you stare death in the face. Boooo death!"
    • April McClour wrote this message:  "Thank you everyone for your prayers for Delilah Skye.  Her blood tests came back negative which means the antibiotics are working!  Thank God for pulling her through another critical situation.  Keep praying for her and thanks so much to all!!"
    • Amy Owens sent this message about her uncle Aubrey McNutt:  "I wanted to update everyone on my Uncle Aubrey.  The chemo is working!! Please keep lifting him up, we appreciate all the prayers!"

    Reminder

JUST A REMINDER.....Sunday, July 29th, will be our 5th Sunday Potluck after morning worship service.  We'll have a devo after lunch and then be dismissed for the rest of the day.
Be sure to put it on your calendar!!

    • Becky Kerby's Mom, Mary Cox, has had a stroke.  She was in the hospital here in Paris, but has been transferred to the Lane Frost Rehab Center in Hugo.
    • JoAnn Parkman's son, Mark Thompson, has a brain tumor.  They have determined it is benign.  He knew something was wrong when he lost hearing in one ear.
    • Joe Daniels' cousin, Johnny Daniels from Atlanta, TX, passed away on Monday.
    • Faith Williams (Liberty National Bank) is scheduled to have her stem cell transplant tomorrow at Baylor/Dallas.  Please pray for her, her family and the doctors and nurses attending to her.
    • April McClour asked that we pray for Delilah Skye.  She is one year old and has been on our prayer list before.  She is in the hospital, once again, with three infectious organisms in her blood.  The Drs just hung the last bag of antibiotics that can help her.  They say that this is the only option.

    Iva Lee Kennemer 1916-2012

We said our final goodbyes to my sweet little aunt, Iva Lee Kennemer, on Friday morning.  Cleve Fendley honored her in such a wonderful service.
If you knew her, you knew just how much she loved everyone of you.
She was a school teacher for 33 years, a Sunday School teacher for 36 years and a Latch Key assistant for many years. She loved children.
Her family stated that memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
I believe that her desire would be that donations be made to the children of Lamar Avenue Church of Christ ... the Latch Key program, or to Kiddie Kollege.  That way Iva Lee could continue to touch the lives of children for many years to come.

    Urgent Need - 7/6 - 11:52am

One of my co-workers is in need of help.  She and her husband became parents to their 6 month old TWIN grandsons this week.  They need everything.  Diapers (size 5).  Clothes (size 18 months).  Lotion.  Soap.  Wipes.  Anything you can think of.
This couple attends MLK Church of Christ and I know they will appreciate any help at all.
Call me at work 903-737-5482 or on my cellphone after 5pm at 903-669-4382.
    Thank you in advance!

Jason & Sheridie Dyess' good friend, Kent Gooding, passed away yesterday morning.  Kent was a very talented musician, who had performed all over the United States.  Please keep his family in your prayers.

    Prayer Requests - 7/2 - 9:46pm

Amy Owens sent this message today:  "Please keep Kathy and Aubrey McNutt (my uncle) on the prayer list. He has Bladder Cancer and taking chemo right now and has two more rounds, they will then remove bladder. The doctors are not very positive but we know God is in control. Please pray for peace and comfort, they are really needing our prayers."

Faith Williams (works at Liberty National Bank) had a pretty good weekend. She had several severe panic attacks on Saturday night, and her cancer cell count is beginning to increase again. Dr. says that it is normal for it to increase some as the chemo wears off. They will begin doing 5 days of the strongest chemo this week, and then plan to proceed with the stem cell transplant next week.
