Weekly Update - 7/22 - 6:39pm

Thank you Jared for the message of "Open My Eyes", from Luke 10: 25-37. He reminded us that we need to open our eyes to people who aren't just like us. 
April McClour's friend, baby Delilah Skye's family is experiencing major financial problems. If you would like to help with a monetary gift, please talk with one of the elders.

Happy 92nd Birthday to Ozella Lilly.
Happy 91st Birthday to Doris Wooldridge.

PRAISE: Bailey Cannon has returned from her 2 week medical mission trip to Zambia!
  • Allen Jumper is in PRMC-South/ICU.
  • Lillian Taylor is home from the hospital, but will still be having more tests.
  • Anna Zant is continuing to have health issues, as is her Mom, Christine Mashburn.
  • Hugh Anthony is still doing well.
  • Mark Thompson (JoAnn Parkman's son) found out this week that the brain tumor is benign and operable!
  • Faith Williams is doing well after her stem cell transplant this past Thursday.
  • Kara Garner will have an interview this week for a teaching position at one of the local schools.
  • John Buchanan asked for prayers for his co-worker, Kay Hayes and her son and his family.
  • Please continue to remember everyone that has been touched by the massacre in Colorado.
  • Tony Nolan is in very serious condition.  He has had a triple by-pass.  (Son of Gary and Marilyn Nolan.)
  • Kevin Wood asked that we remember his friend, Benny Rhoades.  He is battling cancer.
  • Jill Faires asked that we pray for a former Kiddie Kollege student. Five year old Jesse Troy Jr. has had a tumor removed. Please pray for his health to be restored.
  • Lisa Denman's cousin, Julie Matthews' ovarian cancer has returned. Pray for her spirits and her healing.
  • Mark Shetler has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. The Shetler's are one of the homeschool families.
  • Lillian Welch (Mark Welch and Diane McFadden's Mom) is continuing to have health issues.
  • Mike Marsters has a friend that would like prayers for his job security.
Ladies Day in Greenville: Plans are in the making to attend the second annual Autumn Celebration of the Timeless Woman at Johnson Street Church of Christ on Saturday, September 15th.   Registration is at 9:30 and lunch will be served the program. Author and speaker, Cassandra Miller will present "God Pass Me By". (Joanne Wood will be teaching a ladies class this fall based on Cassandra's book.) There is a sign up sheet posted on the ladies bulletin board.
Simple Supper: This weeks' entree is a Salad Supper. Please donate at least $2 per person. If you did not get the chance to sign up Sunday morning and would like to join us for supper, please call the church office.

Canned meat (tuna, chicken, ham, Spam, Vienna sausage
Canned vegetables and fruit
Spaghetti and sauce
Peanut butter and jelly
Macaroni and Cheese
1 pound packages of beans or rice
Hot and Cold cereals
Crackers
Cornbread mix
Toiletries
It's that time of year again! Charlotte Grooms is accepting donations of new back-packs or monetary donations for the purchase of the bags. Charlotte works at Justiss Elementary.
