Update on Allie Campbell - 6/29

Lori Campbell just posted this update:  "Just finished talking to one of Allie's Drs. Hopefully we are doing better. All her symptoms have been viral meningitis but the meds for it have not worked with her. They switched her to a different antibiotic. Hopefully this one is working. She has been fever free for 2 days. She s still in pain. Her eyesight hasn't changed much but Drs are pretty certain her eyesight will return when all the swelling is gone. She has had hearing loss as well and Drs say it may or may not return completely to normal. Her neurologist just spoke with us. They are checking into the fact that there is still a significant amount of swelling in her brain and spinal area. I'm too tired to remember what She said it's called but said the infectious disease Drs are concentrating on that area. They have sent off for 9 different test. And have received 2 back so far as negative."

Update on Allie Campbell - 6/27

Lorie Campbell posted this update:  "Wish I had better news to post. Allie had a rough night last night. Some fever has returned and she was in agonizing pain all night. She is having headaches neck and back pain that comes along with the meningitis they said. Her legs and arms are aching her as well. She is having trouble hearing and can't see well. Drs have said some of the loss of eyesight is due to inflammation in her brain. Praying for these Drs to find the cause of this so we can get my sweet girl back to her normal sweet self. We are all beyond ready to be back home."

Update on Allie Campbell -6/26

Update on Allie by her Mom, Lori Campbell:  "What a whirlwind 24 hours we've had. Leaving 1 hospital following an ambulance to another, talking to about 12 different doctors and getting settled in. Allie has not had a high fever at all today and is able to walk on her own. Considering 2 days ago we were basically carrying her to the restroom with a sky high fever and no control of her limbs. She's having vision problems and still in a lot of pain. She's been alert today and has been taken off isolation. She's charmed her nurse and Dr by telling them how pretty they were. She had another spinal tap done today and numerous other blood work. Hopefully we will get answers to get her on the road to recovery. Thanks for all your continued prayers."

Right leg broken at hip and ankle, surgery will be done later. She will be under sedation for several days to let her body rest from the stress. Thank you for your continued prayers.

Prayer Request 6/7

Rita Pringle posted this about her mom and dad, Mierlan and Louise Payne...

Mom is in the hospital in Sikeston, MO. She has an infection in her body, her kidneys weren't working and she was severely dehydrated. Her bowels were also impacted which aggravated a hernia she didn't know she had. She was transferred to ICU late last night by the kidney specialist because of the bloody stools, I think. This morning she was awake and talking. They are giving her a unit of blood and they changed her fluids which seem to be helping her kidneys. Her oxygen levels are up also. Please pray for her and Dad.
