Prayer Request - 9/30 - 5:22pm

Lovice Preston's best friend, since first grade, Brenda Fleming, passed away today.  She found out recently that she had pancreatic cancer and it quickly spread to her liver.  Please keep her 2 boys, Craig & Chad, and the rest of her family in your prayers.  Services are pending with Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

Prayer Request - 9/30 - 4:03pm

Dinah Border spoke with Phyllis Giguere this afternoon: "She sounded perkier than the last time I called, says she is feeling better but has a long way to go. She was getting wound care but we talked anyway. No one has told her how much longer she will be in the hospital. They are taking her to therapy/rehab once a day and when she is stronger she will go two times daily. Even though she sounded better, I believe she could use encouragement...calls, cards, visits.  Her phone number is 214-473-3229."

Prayer Request - 9/30 - 2:40pm

Lesa Bulls sent this message this afternoon:  "Coy Easton (Chris' Mom)  has taken a turn for the worse and is back in the hospital. They are going to put her on hospice and take her back to Brentwood. She has developed another blood clot in her arm in addition to all her other health problems. Please pray for peace and comfort for this family."

Update on Dianna Welch - 9/27 - 10:30am

Lindsay McCarter just sent this update on her Mom, Dianna Welch:
"Our God is an awesome God!  The Gyno-Oncologist came in and said that the 2 masses were connected and were attached to her tailbone. Further testing is being done to rule out lymphoma, BUT, it could be nothing more than a fatty mass.  That is certainly what we are believing it is!  The general surgeon is still in there working on removing her large hernia and the nurse called and said things are going well.  Keep praying!!"

Alan Boyd is having surgery today on his left arm.  They will be severing all the tendons, etc. to make his arm move like it should be. His arm will be in a sling for a while.

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

Prayer Request - 9/21 - 1pm

Bad news/Good News Update on Dianna Welch:  The bad news is that there are 2 masses.  They NOT related to female "parts".  They don't know where they are, but they know that they need to come out ASAP (within 1-2 weeks).  The Dr. does think it's probably cancer, but won't know until surgery.
The GOOD news is the PET scan show that the masses have not grown and that the cancer doesn't show to be anywhere else!!!  PRAISE THE LORD!
Surgery is being scheduled.  There is concern that, since it is a major surgery, there are risks with her diabetes and infection, etc.  But the Dr. also said that it's her only option!
Please keep praying for her upcoming surgery....specific prayers for NO cancer and NO infection!

Tuesday, September 20, 2011

Prayer Request - 9/20 - 10:54am

Dianna Welch will be in Dallas tomorrow morning at 9am for PET scan results.  Please keep her and Mark in your prayers as they travel and as they talk with the doctors!

Prayer Request - 9/9/11 - 12:35pm

Mark Welch sent this message today regarding Dianna's Dr. appointment yesterday in Dallas: "We went to a surgeon at Baylor Hospital in Dallas yesterday. He is collaborating with a Gynecological Oncologist surgeon then they will decide on what the best plan of attack will be on the masses on Dianna's ovary. They have no way of knowing for sure if the tumors are benign or malignant until they actually remove them and study them. We hope they will do a complete hysterectomy at the same time they remove the tumors. They also will try to repair a very large surgical hernia that she has had since her surgeries following the tornado 29 years ago. We will probably know when the surgery will be within the next two weeks. We are very anxious about all of this and ask for your continued prayers. Also, Lindsay (McCarter)  had a large kidney stone blasted this morning and everything went well and she can pass the smaller fragments easily. She has been in a great deal of pain for a couple of weeks now, but we hope this procedure will take care of her problem."

If it is something the doctors will decide what to do or not to do next. He is upset. Please pray God's will and protection over Charlie. Thanks for the prayers."

Prayer Requests - 9/3 - 9:11pm

Ed Bullard was not feeling well and is at the PRMC/S - ER tonight.

Mike Grigsby is conscious and is able to communicate by writing.

Prayer Requests - 9/3 - 3:42pm

Phyllis Giguere has been taken back to Baylor Hospital/Plano with an infection in her abdomen where they went in for the back surgery last week.

Mike Grigsby is in PRMC-S Room 312.  The hospital has received records from Tulsa.  EEG shows some abnormalities.  Will do CT, MRI and spinal tap to rule out infection in brain stem and spinal cord.  The episode on Thursday night was a grand mal seizure. Mike is not speaking, but Kathy thinks he knows she is with him.

Please continue to pray for rain and cooler temperatures!

Prayer Request - 9/2 - 6:05pm

My friend, Donna Archer posted this update about her tests:  "I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, and have to start treatments immediately. So I will be starting chemo on Tuesday.  But I am so blessed because they usually don't find this until you are in renal failure. God is so good and takes such good care of his children.  Please keep praying for me."

There was a fatal one-car collision, in Paris today.  No names were known.  Please keep their families in your prayers.

Prayer Request - 9/2 - 8:45am

Wayne Kerby messaged me this morning, stating that Mike Grigsby had another episode last night.  They were in the ER until 2am.  He is in PRMC/South - ICU.

PRAISE:  Lesa Bulls' cousin, Betty Brockington, had an MRI this week.  There is NO new growth and an area which looks to be smaller.  She will continue chemo every 2 weeks and another MRI in a month.

Mr. McHam, owns the TV repair shop, was taken to the hospital this morning with chest pains.  His daughter is a co-worker at First Federal.
