Hopefully, I've come up with sure-fire way to get you to read it.
If you will look to the right, under the picture of the church and under the link to the Bible, you will find a box that says "Follow By E-Mail".  Once you put in your e-mail address and click submit, it will give you a "word" to type in and then it will send YOU an e-mail to confirm....then TAH-DAH...each time I update the blog, you will receive an e-mail to read!

Lucy Offutt sent this message this afternoon regarding William's eyes:  "We spent the entire spring break in Dallas, since Dr Herman (at VisionQuest) decided to do both his eyes less than 48 hours of each other.  His right eye was 20/100 before surgery and at the last visit was 20/30.  His left eye was not as bad at 20/40, but was also 20/30 after surgery.  He cannot believe the colors and sharpness that he can see.  We were unable to be at church Sunday, since his eyes are not accustomed to working together with the corrected vision...He can't stand up straight without trying to fall over, especially in the mornings, but this is gradually improving.  He is exhausted and very weak due to the extra strain from all his other chronic illnesses, but the surgeries were a blessing from God."

PRAISE - 3/4 - 9:10pm

PRAISE:  Allison Boyd-Hanley just posted on facebook that Matt held down dinner tonight and the doctor is letting him go home!

Prayer Request - 3/4 - 2:54pm

I received a text from Rickey McFadden about Wayne that said:  "Dr. said there's nothing else to do, although he is more alert, but less responsive."

Dustin & Norma Edelhauser's little boy, Kaleb, was born this past December 1st.  They found a heart mumur and flew him to Children's/Dallas.  He has a heart defect called Truncus Arteriosus.  He has RSV and is now going to have open heart surgery.  Please keep this little family in your prayers.   There is an account set up for the family at Bank of America.

Prayer Request - 3/4 - 10:08am

Wayne McFadden's white cell count is at 21,000 this morning.  They don't know what is causing the increase in white cells.  Rickey said he will let us know more when the Dr. comes in later on.

Prayer Request - 3/3 - 7:32pm

On a personal note:  I had a very important office visit with the Retinologist today.  I have good/bad news.  VERY good news is that there are NO leaks in either eye!  Bad news, is that it doesn't look like the retina is repairable.  He'll check it again after I have the cataract on my "good" eye removed.  God is good and has blessed me.

Prayer Request - 3/3 - 7:08pm

I just received a text from Rickey McFadden about his Dad, Wayne:  "Lungs are filling up, white blood count high."

Prayer Request-3/4 - 2:58pm

Wayne McFadden is being re-admitted to PRMC-South. No other details are known at this time.

Prayer Request - 3/3 - 12:16pm

I just received this text from Allison Hanley regarding Matt:  "Scans came back better than yesterday.  They are going to slowly allow him to start eating.  Later in the day, if has held his food down, then they will remove the NG tube.  Going to be kept one more night.  If blood work looks OK in the morning, then he will hopefully be released.  Thanks to everyone for all the prayers and support.  We love you!!"

Prayer Request - 3/3 - 10:30am

DON'T FORGET....This Sunday is the Elder Selection/Reaffirmation Service.
DON'T FORGET - Part 2:  This Sunday is also LIFE GROUP meetings!
Please keep the following in your prayers:
  • Wayne McFadden as he is still in such serious condition.
  • Matt Hanley is still in Denton Regional Medical Center awaiting another xray this morning.  The obstruction is now gone and they will be deciding the next phase of treatment.
  • Dinah Border is having lots of problems with her arthritis.
  • Carter Kuhlengel, is better this morning. He's the 3 yr old son of a NLISD teacher. He has been taken off the Bi-Pap oxygen.  He's still not able to have food, but can have suckers.  His Mom says thank you ALL for the prayers.  He isn't out of the woods yet, and still has another week in the hospital.
  • Emily House-Leach is 5 months pregnant.  She has asthma really bad and has concerns for her health.
  • Debra Usry went to the Dr. for her post operative check-up and had her staples removed.   She is doing well and is able to drive.  Also, her daughter Jillian went for testing in Oklahoma for her Hep-C.  They referred her back to Paris.  Jill has moved back in with Debra and Lloyd.
  • Debra was thrilled to report last night that her grandson, Lucas Simpson, has been selected as the "Boles Home Student of the 6 weeks"!  Way to go Lucas!!!
  • April Good-Ferguson had been having problems with one of her eyes.  When she woke up yesterday morning, she had NO vision!  She is Roxanne Ferguson's (College Street) daughter.
  • Dinah Border's friend, Tyler Graham, has been deployed to Afghanistan.  He is in the Marines.
  • Heather Cannon has been accepted into the AIM program.  She will leave in August.
  • Brittany Twitty's friend, Qualyn Perkins, is in the National Guard and just returned from Iraq.  He has a 1 year old baby daughter that is an Albino.  She is having problems with her eyes.

Prayer Request - 3/2 - 1pm

I just received this message from Kim regarding Matt Hanley:  "Obstruction is lessening, but will have at least one more day in the hospital.  Dr. doesn't think more surgery will be necessary at this point.  Another x-ray tomorrow."

Prayer Request - 3/2 - 12:11pm

One of my co-workers little 5 year old niece, Erika Nicholson, has a Pseudotumor, sometimes called a "fake tumor", in her brain.  This is a very rare disease, especially in children.   It is caused by high pressure within the skull caused by the buildup or poor absorption of spinal fluid.

Prayer Request - 3/1 - 9:54pm

Marcelino Rodriguez' sister-in-law, Victoria Rodriguez, from Everman Texas, has Lupus and was in the hospital, for over a week with high fever.  She is at home now, doing better.  She's a member of the church in Everman.

Prayer Request - 3/1 - 7:17pm

Just heard from Kim Hanley, she said that the Dr. has not come in tonight to see Matt, and that they will do another scan in the morning to determine treatment.

Prayer Requests - 3/1 - 2:26pm

Wayne McFadden is being moved to Brentwood Terrace - Room 214 this afternoon.  They have removed the I.V., but left the N/G tube.  Rickey stated that it is now "wait and see".  They are in need of men to sit with Wayne.

Matt Hanley has been admitted to Denton Regional Medical Center with a blockage.

Prayer Request - 3/1 - 10:36am

I had asked for prayers for my co-worker's husband, Jeff Taber, a month ago.  (Jeff works at Paris Ford.)  I wanted to give y'all an update on him.
He had the weight put in his eyelid and can blink now, but the bottom portion of his eye droops and it doesn't close all the way down.
He goes back tomorrow for a follow-up with the plastic surgeon. They will talk about the bottom portion of his eye and see what they possibly need to do further to make it close all the way.
On March 23, they go for a meeting/check-up with the Dr. who will take the tumor out and the Dr. that will reconstruct the nerves. ALSO...the Drs. will discuss with them about the CAT scan to see if the tumor has grown and hopefully schedule the next surgery at this time.
She said thank you all for your concern and prayers.

Prayer Request - 3/1 - 8:27am

James & Kim Hanley are on their way to Denton this morning.  Matt is not doing well.  Please pray for him and for their safety traveling there.
