Prayer Request - 10/21 - 1:15pm

I just received a message that local realtor, Dennis Johnson, is awake and responding this morning.  He had a little set-back with his blood pressure and they sedated him again.  He's trying too hard to talk, but that's good news.

Prayer Requests - 10/21 - 12:06am

Lucy Offutt sent this message tonight:  "Please add William and me to the prayer list. William is still having problems with BP bottoming out. He had a severe facial injury due to falling into the nightstand on Thursday while I was out of town working. His pressures are beginning to stabilize but his facial injuries are drastic and will need a long time to heal. As for me, I have a left shoulder injury that has rendered my left arm unusable. We love you all and appreciate all the prayers."

Tony Nolan (former Paris resident that we've been praying for) passed away earlier today from complications from the heart transplant, that he had yesterday.  No further details are known at this time.

Praise! 10/18 - 10:51pm

My friend Tiffanie Steinruck posted this message regarding her cousin, Misty Horn, whose husband was a police sergeant in Hooks, that we've been praying for this week:  "I wanted to thank you and update you on Misty. The charges were raised on her husband and bond set at $1 million after they found out he injected her with an animal euthanasia drug not a tranquilizer as they first suspected. She started trying to breathe around the ventilator and trying to wake up yesterday morning. They were able to take her off ventilator and she woke up some and tried to talk. Today, she's fully conscious, talking normal and going to make a full physical recovery! Praise God and thanks to everyone who prayed for this sweet woman to make it through this horrible attack. Please continue praying for her and her family and his family also. It will be a rough emotional road for all of them. Apparently it wasn't a spontaneous act of violence, but planned for awhile, with no clue to family or co-workers. Her sister commented that it's like a story on Lifetime, so surreal. But with strong faith and family, she'll be okay. She's a fighter!! Thanks to everyone! God answers prayers!!"

Our Sympathy....

Gerald Henderson's step-brother, Jerry Johnson, died unexpectedly yesterday.  No arrangements are known at this time.  (This is no relation to Miss Ora.)  This is the second family member that Gerald has lost in the last couple of weeks.  Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Prayer Request - 10/18 - 12:19pm

Local realtor, Dennis Johnson, is still in ICU at Parkland.  I received this message earlier:  "They are taking out the cranial monitor and will be doing an MRI this morning, which will tell us a lot more about how much brain damage we are looking at.  We know it's in God's hands.  Please pray all day for him."

Wednesday, October 17, 2012

Prayer Request - 10/17 - 8:34pm

Debra Usry posted this earlier about her granddaughter, Carle:  "Dr. just came to talk to me. Carle did good. They could not find the direct source by medically inducing the heart rate increase but did find the place they thought it occurs and burned around it. She should no longer have this same problem. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers."

Prayer Requests - 10/16 - 11:30am

PRAISE THE LORD!  I went to see Dr. Hashmi this morning...my echo and stress tests were all good.  But, still no clue why I'm having the "episodes"!  Thank you all for your prayers!

My friend Paula Serrano asked that we pray for her brother, David Wood.  The Dr. has found several masses and are unsure if they are cancer.  David needs to find the Lord and the love of God.

Dennis Johnson is breathing on his own, but needs the vent for extra oxygen due to pneumonia.  He's not yet ready to come off meds/vent just yet.  He is getting a CT right now to see if they can get the cranial monitor out.  His wife, Nita, says there is minimal brain swelling today.  His pressure goes up if they are "messing" with him.  Ortho specialist says no surgery on pelvic fracture, but he will need rehab for 4-6 weeks on a walker.  Please pray for this family!

Prayer Request - 10/15 - 9:08pm

Tiffanie Steinruck posted this message:  "Please add my cousin Misty Gayle Horn to your prayer list. Her family is adding her to every prayer chain we can find. Her husband, a police sergeant in Hooks, beat her and shot her up with animal tranquilizers before her 19 year old daughter got away and called 911. She's in a coma, on a ventilator at St Michaels' Hospital in Texarkana. They don't know how long she was without oxygen, so until she wakes up, it's in God's hands. Her children and parents need the healing and comfort only God can give."  Please click on this link for more information.
