Prayer Request 2/28

Trinia Dean's cousin, Stevey Sessums, needs our prayers. They're not sure of diagnosis yet, either cancer or Wegeners disease either one not a good outcome.

Prayer Request 2/28

Jodi Andoe, mother of Asher Andoe, a Paris High School student, posted this update regarding her son tonight.
(Asher is on the Paris Wildcat baseball team and Saturday became very sick with a fever of 107. He is in an Oklahoma city hospital with a bacterial infection.)
"Asher is still immobilized and can only lay on his stomach face down. He's receiving two different IV antibiotics as he continues to have fever spikes every few hours. His doctors still feel this is the best plan of action for now and will reevaluate surgery options again tomorrow.
We are so grateful for all the prayers, calls, messages and know that our family, friends and community are all in prayer for Asher."

Prayer Request 2/28

Hugh and Jean Anthony's son-in-law, Michael Delaney (Paula's husband), has been diagnosed with possible thyroid cancer. Surgery is scheduled for Friday if they can get some heart issues resolved first. Jean has asked for prayers.

Update on Janet Fouse - 2/28

Royce Fouse posted this earlier today:  I will be taking Janet to the UT Health Center/MD Anderson cancer center in Tyler this afternoon. Please keep us in your Prayers as we make this journey for a good outcome as Janet deals with breast cancer. We serve the Great Physician and a God that heals todays just as he has always done. Amen

Update on Maverick Morris - 2/21

We haven't posted any updates lately because we really haven't had any major changes. He has been having some digestive issues so they have done a series of x-rays to follow a dye they put in his gut to see if there are any obstructions or narrowing of his intestines. After 3 days of waiting for a final result, we have just heard from the doctor and she said that nothing looks out of the ordinary other than his gut is very slow moving. They stopped feeding him about a week or so ago. The doctor said she may consider starting his feeds back tomorrow, slowly and a small amount to start back with.
Other than this issue, Maverick is doing well and thriving. Your prayers have been heard and Maverick is getting bigger and stronger. He now weighs 3lbs and is 16" long.
Dusty and I are so thankful for your prayers. Words can not express how thankful. We are tired and drained, but so full of joy for every second we get to spend with our little boy. Please continue to pray for us. Thank you all so much for talking to our Great Physician about our sweet little guy!
He is getting some Kangaroo Care with Daddy this morning.

Prayer Requests 2/21

Vicki Humphrey is in PRMC with pneumonia.

Roy Jones is also in PRMC/Room 518 with pneumonia, flu and respiratory distress.

Prayer Request 2/16

Cari Johnson just posted an update:  "I am calling for all prayer warriors. My Sophia Grace, which is in Encinitas, California, doing volleyball has been hurt. The coach feels like she needs to stay. Ride it out. Rehab there. This has been a very mix feeling issue for me as a mom. I know Selena my oldest is watching over her and all the great people surrounding her there. But momma bear is struggling. Please pray that for those girls. Give them guidance. I know God has a plan. Sometimes not knowing the plan is the hardest. If anyone gets a chance to send words of encouragement it would appreciated. Love you all. Please pray for Lance and I to be strong and let the Lord work in those girls hearts and lives. The story they will be able to tell when they get back. Sophia has never had to go through so many changes at school with people pointing her out for being a Christian, being from Texas, and different. Please just keep them in your prayers."

Update on Maverick Morris 2/11

Kate's first time to hold Maverick!!

This was posted by Katie Morris this afternoon:  The doctors and nursing staff surprised me today by letting me hold my sweet baby boy for the first time since his birthday, February 1st. It's been a week and a half since he's been out in the world. My heart has been heavy since his premature birth. Lots of scary NICU jargon thrown around by doctors and nurses I've never met before who have my son's life in their hands. Trusting total strangers with Maverick's life has been hard. But the entire medical staff has been amazing!! He has a long, tough road ahead as a preemie. I am grateful, thankful, and blessed to have so many churches, friends, and even strangers praying for our sweet little warrior. He is making small improvements every day. Some days it feels like there are more setbacks than improvements, but today was one for the record books. I will never forget how it felt to hold my first child for the first time. I felt my heart burst with love. In that moment there was no fear in my heart for the first time in a week and a half. I only felt pure joy. Thank you all so much for your constant encouragement and prayers. Thank you for checking in on us and sending us snacks and other goodies to help get us through this time. Please continue to pray!!!  Pray Maverick Big. Pray Maverick Strong. Pray Maverick Home. ❤"

Prayer Request - 2/9

Joel Casey has been admitted to PRMC/Room 521.

Update on Maverick Morris 2/9

Dusty Morris posted this update today:  "Well we knew that this road would not be without bumps. Maverick is currently receiving a blood transfusion to help some of her low blood numbers. He also has not been able to keep a feeding down in the past 1-2 days, so he only be getting IV nutrients today. We hope that his little digestive system can catch up during this time and we can resume normal feedings soon.
We have been assured by many that this is routine and all a part of the NICU journey, but every single change/procedure seems really huge from our perspective.
Please continue to pray for my tiny man, and please pray for patience for his parents."

Prayer Request - 2/8

Former member Royce Fouse posted this about his wife Janet:  Three weeks ago, Janet went to her Dr for a mammogram because she felt a knot in her left breast. Tuesday, two weeks ago, she went in for a biopsy to make sure everything was okay. Today she got a phone call from the pathologist and they informed her it was cancer and that it had already metastasized . Please keep Janet and myself in your Prayers as we battle this disease, as she goes through surgery and possibly chemo and radiation treatments.

Update on Maverick Morris - 2/2

Dusty Morris wrote this update about his wife and son:   Mav and Katie both had very restful nights of recovery. I'm really glad to see Katie resting peacefully after such a tough couple of days. She's my hero, and much stronger than I will ever be.
Mav has been doing really well in the NICU, using a C-Pap to help the muscles in his tiny lungs work well. He had his first itsy bits morsel of food today and has been reacting well to being on the outside in general. Today is a good day that we will enjoy, remember, and cherish on his long, bumpy road that ends with us taking our boy home.
The power of prayer has been on full display the past few days, and I am convinced of the necessity of continued prayers. Please keep praying for both of my babies.
