Weekly Update - 10/2 - 8:50pm

  • Jerry and April McClour went forward this morning asking for prayers for their faith and for some personal issues they are going through.
  • Misty Ray will have a heart procedure on Wednesday at Baylor/Dallas.
  • Alan Boyd is getting his cast off this Wednesday and then he will be having 2 more surgeries this month.  The main lead for his pain has come loose and they will need to go back in to replace it and at the end of the month they will perform another foot surgery.
  • Dianna Welch is at home recovering from surgery.
  • Roxanne Raper will be having surgery on her foot on October 10th
  • Coy Easton (Chris Easton's Mom) is in Brentwood Terrace with hospice.
  • Phyllis Giguereis at Life Care Hospital/Plano. She is continuing to recover from back surgery.
  • Linda Hostetler is having health issues.
  • Carolyn Drake (co-worker at FFCB) is having difficulties with her fibromyalgia.
  • Kari Ann Cannon's Mom, Karan Bridgwater, is in Germany working on the "Let's Start Talking"  ministry program.
  • Continue to pray for RAIN!!
CONGRATULATIONS to our Youth Group member, Selena Johnson!  (Daughter of Lance and Cari Johnson.)  She was the 1st place winner at the Paris Idol competition last night.   WoooHOOOO!
SIMPLE SUPPER: This weeks' entree is Baked Potatoes with Toppings. Please donate at least $2 per person. If you weren't able to sign-up on Sunday morning, and want to join us, call the church office by noon on Tuesday.

 PANTRY NEEDS: Breakfast Cereals and/or Crackers
These are the items routinely stocked in the pantry, and can always be used: Any type of canned meat, canned vegetables, canned fruit, spaghetti and sauce peanut butter/jelly, macaroni/cheese, hot/cold cereal, cornbread mix, 1 lb pkgs of beans/rice and crackers.

 TRUNK OR TREAT:  Monday - October 31st!!
Once again we will be hosting the children of our community with a safe and fun filled alternative to Halloween.  If you would like to don a costume, decorate your car and join in the fun, please sign-up at the Welcome Center.  Participants will arrive at the building to pick up their treats by 5:30-6:00pm, then proceed to the church ball field to circle up their cars and get ready for the public at 7pm.  This activity is a lot of fun for everyone involved.
