Weekly Update - 6/13

The Camp Deer Run Staff were with us yesterday morning and led services and song service.  It was so beautiful to have all those young voices singing praises to God!
Jared Baggett and Ty Ford spoke to us Sunday morning about Camp Deer Run and it's importance to children.  Ty also discussed fundraising (Simply Changing Lives) and plans for the new cafeteria at the camp.  If you would like to donate, click on the link above and it will direct you to the website.

BAPTISM:  Coral Smith was baptized on Sunday.  She is the daughter of Chris and Sarah Smith.


OUR SYMPATHY:  Bill Sanders (former member) Mom and brother were in an accident on Friday in Abilene.  His Mom passed away.

PRAYER REQUESTS:
  •  Maggie Kerby - While in Italy, on vacation, she became extremely ill.  They got her back to Dallas to the hospital for surgery on a ruptured appendix.

  • Sandra Carroll asked that we pray for her friend, Sarah Gambill.  She has cancer and is at home on hospice.  Sarah was a teacher at Paris I.S.D.
VALET AND PARKING:  They are in need of more volunteers.  You'd only have to volunteer once a month!
 
YOUNG AT HEART– We are planning another fun night for those 60 and older! On June 14th we will serve a meal at 6PM followed by games of Dominoes, Forty Two, and Chicken Foot. You can also just come to visit and hang out! But BEWARE! There is a rumor we have some serious Chicken Foot Ladies!


M.A.G.I. BOXES:  It's almost time for our Christmas boxes to be filled again this year. Boxes and a list of items will be available on June 26th.  They will be due back by July 24th.  Make plans now to participate.


RESTORE OUR PLAYGROUND:  If you would like to help with our playground restoration, please see Kristen Mayes.  This is a great service for a Life Group or families to invest time in.  If you would like to donate any funds, please give to the office with PLAYGROUND in the memo.
 
DON'T FORGET: THIS Wednesday night (6/15) we'll have our fellowship/devotional out at Lake Crook.  Meet at 6:30 for corny dogs and hamburgers. ($3 per person)  Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket.  There will be a bounce house for the children. 

PANTRY NEEDS—A few needed pantry items: jelly, soup, crackers, peanut butter, canned vegetables, cereal, laundry detergent, dish washing detergent, household cleaners, and size 3&4 diapers. Thank you for anything you can help with!!
IMMEDIATE PANTRY NEEDS:  Cereal and Canned Fruit
 
RAINBOW ROOM ITEMS:  Shoes for all ages/Juice boxes
