Weekly Update 7/9



Thank you John Cannon for speaking to us  today!  He talked to us about "Going. Doing. Being." as they relate to church. 

RESPONSE: Cynthia Norris went forward this morning, asking for prayers for her health. She will be home bound for a while as she begins kidney dialysis, at her home. She would love cards and phone calls. 

OUR SYMPATHY is extended to Mary Tallant in the passing of her son-in-law Larry Rhea today.  Visitation will be Tuesday night at 6pm at Bright Holland Funeral Home. Funeral service at 2pm on Wednesday, also at BHFH.

CONGRATULATIONS to Ty and Stacy Prestridge on the birth of their daughter, Sage Catherine, July 4th!!  She weighed 6.11 pounds and 18 inches long.  Proud grandma is Joanne Wood.

PRAYER REQUESTS:
  • Mark Welch will have cataract surgery on Tuesday, July 11.
  • Benette Russell is at home recuperating from foot surgery. 
  • Loretta Nabors results of her mylogram were not what she was hoping to hear. It showed that there is more stenosis further up than where they operated.  She's going to start with injections and go from there.
  • Judy Clark had eye surgery this week.
  • William and Lucy Offutt - Health

  • Kristi Anthony - Physical and mental health

  • Sandy Welch (Kristi Anthony's Mom) fell a week ago and broke her hip.  She did have surgery.  They have found another issue and are awaiting results on that.
  • Dr. Robert Zimmerman (friend of Derald Bulls) - Cancer.
  • Matt Welch, youngest brother of Kristi Anthony, has been told that he needs a liver transplant.
  • Allyson Fasken (teacher at PISD) Cancer.
  • Janet Fouse - (former member) Cancer.
  • Joyce Fouse - Cancer 
  • Matthew Downs - (friend of Molly's) was bit by a spider next to his eye and the infection has traveled to his other eye.  
  • Jim Bo Thompson - (friend of Glen Barnett) was hospitalized this week with a mild stroke. He's had infection in his foot for while and he will have his leg, up to his knee, amputated Monday at PRMC. 
  • Sierra Faulkner - 3 year old with cancer. (Friend of Molly's)
  • Jerry Savage cancer has returned and is aggressive. He is a preacher in Sulphur Springs.
  • Tammy Huffman Beazley - (former member) Cancer
  • Debbie Daniel (friend of Molly's) - Cancer
SHUT-INS AND NURSING HOMES:  
Butch Mills, Johnny Bassett, Carol Murphy, Johnny Houser, Roy Jones, Paul and Carol Helton, Sarah Smith, Sarah Dene Goree, Donna Mosley, Peggy Wright.


WEDNESDAY NIGHT WORSHIP:  This Wednesday night (7/12) at 6:30pm, we will have Ray Murphy here to speak in the auditorium.

RAINBOW ROOM ITEMS: Girls pants sizes 3T-6x and juice boxes

PANTRY NEEDSNeeds restocking!!!  Things they can use peanut butter, grape jelly, soup, crackers, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned meat, 1 pound bags of beans or rice, cornbread and cereal.  There is a more immediate need for hygiene items such as; deodorant, bath soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste and toilet paper.  Please help restock if you can!!!

SIMPLE SUPPER:  
The S. S. crew is taking a summer break.
