Weekly Update - 3/4

Our Sympathy ... Former LACOC minister, Perry Cotham, passed away last week in Grand Prairie at the age of 101.  His services were this past Saturday. 
Memorials may be made to:  Brown Trail School of Preaching, Memphis School of Preaching or Doctors without Borders.


Our Sympathy ... Chuck Brazile's Mom, Eugenia Brazile, passed away last Friday.  Her services are today at 2:30pm at Starrett Funeral Home.

* Kristi Anthony as she continues her rehab at the Pate Rehab Center in Anna, TX. Please call first (Jay or Sandy) before visiting. Also remember Austin, Tyler and Cody, as they wait to find out the results of the Long QT testing.
* Tom Wood - taking cancer treatments
* Lance Johnson as he fights ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).
* Anna Zant is back at home after being in the hospital for a week.
* William Offutt - Health
* Marie Figgins - Health - Confined at home.
* John Figgins - Health
* Jessica Harris - Health - she is doing better!!
* Joyce Allen - Health
* Jeanie Lamb - Cancer
* Misty (Bills) Halcomb - Health
* Carole Anderson's cousins, Curbe Goolsby and his wife, Pat.  Curbe was approved/disapproved all in the same day for assistance with his nursing home costs.  He may be sent home and Pat can't physically care for him.  She is disabled also and they on a fixed income.
* Kathy Ballard's Mom, Linda Ray, lives in South Carolina and is having health issues.
* Nancy Jones friend, Sue McMalven has been diagnosed with cancer.
* Margaret Jones - as she undergoes surgery.
* George Newberry, friend of Jenifer Cooper's, pray for good results from biopsy.
* Jason Steffey (step-son of Mark Welch's co-worker Jackie McQueen) has serious heart issues.  He's in PRMC/ICU and will be for quite some time.
* Denise Felty (co-worker of Lesa Bulls) has had back surgery twice and will have a long recovery period.
* Stephen (Red) Holmes (friend of Derald Bulls) is in a hospital in McKinney with several health issues.
* Wesley Alex Roach (friend of Kristi Nutt) is a student at North Lamar with A.L.L.  He is in and out of Children's Medical with complications of his chemo.
* Mike Nelson, brother of Charlotte Grooms, is about to have open heart surgery - 6 by-passes.
* David Nelson, Charlotte's other brother, has cancer.
* Myrtle and William Hicks - health
* Lillian Welch, Diane McFadden and Mark's Mom, is in re-hab at this time.
* Cleo Woolston, is in Paris Nursing Home.
* Please keep Andrew and Amy Whitehouse on your hearts as they are awaiting the birth of their little baby soon.
* Roxanne Raper asked for prayers for Charles Fendley.
* Former member, Anna Bolton's sister-in-law, Jimmie Lou Smith, passed away yesterday morning.  Her brother Clifton Smith is also in poor health.

I received this message from Roy and Anna Bolton last week:  "Just wanted to say we miss Lamar Ave and all our lovely friends there. We are happy here but you know there's no place like home. However we do have a great preacher here, ha but we miss Patrick also. God has been so good to us here and the people at church and otherwise are so very friendly, it is hard for us to believe as new comers to the community." 

Simple Supper: Still only $2 per person. This weeks' entree is Frito Chili Pie. If weren't able to sign-up, this morning, and would like to join us, call the church office by noon on Tuesday.
