Weekly Update - 11/17


BAPTISM:  Grace Williams was baptized this morning.  She has been a part of the Youth Group for about a year.  Grace...we welcome you into the family!

PRAYER REQUESTS:
  • Richard Peace is at home recuperating after having surgery on Friday.
  • Doris McGill fell on Thursday, injuring her pelvis and arm.  She had surgery, on Friday, at PRMC and is now in room 424.
  • Dot Campbell is having therapy on her back.  She is in PRMC/Room 414.
  • John Gentry will have his defibrillator replaced this week.
  • Mary Jones had surgery this past week.  She was back at church this morning.
  • Kristi Anthony - as she continues to have walking, memory, depression and confusion issues.
  • Austin Anthony - will have tests on his heart Monday morning.
  • Mary Lloyd - cancer
  • Larry Ballard asked for prayers for Dwayne Ballard and his health.
  • Lesa Bulls asked for prayers for Jerry Jarrell (librarian at Stone Middle School) will have heart surgery tomorrow.
  • Prayers for Pete Taylor as he will be traveling for his job the next 2 weeks.
  • Prayers of thanksgiving for Tanya Welch's sister, Tammi.  Her tests came back negative and she is doing better.
  • Bill and Linda Kelly - for their health and financial situations.
  • Cheryl and Sean Healy, as they are dealing with the grief of his Dad passing away and the loss of Sean's job.  (The Bishop's daughter and son-in-law.)
  • Marjorie Erickson (Kathy Marshall's Mom) is dealing with deep depression.
  • Paul Derringer - Cancer - local minister.
  • Dr. Wally Kraft - Health  (Local veterinarian.)
  • Gerald Housley - Has suffered 2 strokes and a blood clot.  Will be going to a long term health facility this week.  (Friend of mine from Frisco.)
CHRISTMAS BASKETS:  If you know individuals that will be needing food for Christmas, please look on the Welcome Center for a form to fill out their information. Please turn it back in on Sunday, Dec. 15th.  The food baskets will be delivered on Dec. 23rd.  Michael and Lindsay McCarter will be heading up this ministry again this year. 

Ladies Ornament Exchange:  Tuesday, December 10th from 6:30-8:30 at the home of Angela Carter.  Bring a wrapped ornament ($5-$7) to exchange and your favorite finger food to share.  See the ladies bulletin board for more information.

SIMPLE SUPPER:  This weeks entree is Thanksgiving Dinner.  Please donate at least $2 per person.

PANTRY NEEDS:  Peanut Butter, Jelly and Rice

KEEP THE DATE:
Nov 26:  Mid-week service on Tuesday night - all classes in auditorium.
Dec 10:  Ladies Ornament Exchange at Angie Carter's house.
Dec 25:  No Wednesday night service.
Jan 1:  No Wednesday night service.
