Weekly Update - 1/25

It was wonderful to see Brent, Jill, Jack and Titus Nichols today!  Thank you Brent for bringing the update on the mission work that is being done and WILL be done in Niteroi, Brazil.

RESPONSE:  Donna Mosley was moved by Brent's message this morning and said that she has lots of opportunities to reach out to others at Sterling House.  Pray for her to have the courage to step out of her comfort zone and speak up.

BAPTISM:  Corey Allen was baptized on Wednesday night.  He's the son of Roddy and Teresa Allen,

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  • Continue to remember Johnny Houser in your prayers.  He is still mourning the loss of his sweet Pat.  He is also having health issues.
  • Daisy Redding is in PRMC/Room 454.
  • Clay and Maureen Spencer are the proud parents of an 8 pound 12 ounce baby girl!  She was born at 3am this morning at PRMC.  Yes, you are correct.  That makes FIVE girls for this family!
  • Trey and Keli Unruh are the proud parents of Luke Edward, born on Jan. 15th, and weighed 8 pounds and 5 ounces.
  • William Offutt is experiencing serious health issues.
  • Catheryn Bryan, grandmother of former member, Kristi Thurman, is in Baylor/ICU after suffering a stroke on Saturday.  Catheryn is a member at Bonham Street CofC.
  • Cathy Sanders, neighbor of Linda Erwin, is in Baylor receiving treatments to help her walk on her own again.
  • Kristi Anthony, Lance Johnson, Roy Jones, Bill Jones, Sharon Kinison, Adrian Casey, Mark Jones, Kimberly Daniels, John White, Tommy Gantt, Ben Holland, Dorothy Webb, Carol McMillan, Robert Ward, Margie Bell, Susan Monkers, Michael Terrell, Bobby Gragg, Carol Ward, Dr. Chris Manchurick and all of our missionaries.
VISION SUNDAY:  
Dr. John Cannon will be speaking to us at 9am NEXT Sunday February 1st, in the Outreach Building.  (Junior High-Adults)  At 10am we will all meet together for Worship. (No Children's Church)   Continue to be in prayer for this important day in the life of our church.

SHOWERS: 
  • Langdon Chancelor's wedding shower is Feb. 1st from 1:30-3:30pm.  Selections at WalMart, Carriage House and Spangler's.
  • Maggy Kerby's baby shower will be Feb 15th from 1:30-3:30pm,  They're having twins...a boy and a girl.
PANTRY NEEDS:  Jelly and Canned Meat

SIMPLE SUPPER:  This weeks' entrée is Mexican Stackups.  If you didn't sign up on Sunday morning, and want to join us on Wednesday night, just call the church office and to reserve your spot.  Each person is asked to donate $3 per person.
