Weekly Update - 6/4



OUR SYMPATHY:

  • Jennifer Blount's grandfather, Gene Stanley of Corpus Christi, passed away this week.
  • Keith Bollman's aunt, Margaret Wilkerson of Clarksville, also passed away this week.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
  • Sharon Kinison will be having a day surgery on her legs on Monday.
  • Tyler, Austin and Cody Anthony - Waiting to hear from genetic testing.
  • Gene Stallings - Health
  • Sarah Smith is at Dubois South campus hospital Room 604. 
  • David Jackson - Recovering from heart surgery 
  • Sherry Welch - Eye Health
  • David Welch - Has been transferred to Stillhouse Rehab - Room 66/D Wing.
  • Mike Grigsby - Is back in the hospital in Plano.  Sepsis is gone. Blood clots in his lung are decreasing. Pain is an issue, so they have sent in pain management. 
  • John Figgins - Health
  • Jean Anthony - Has 2 aortic aneurysms that will need surgery.
  • Sherrie Boyd - Health
  • Anita Roden - Health 
  • Webber Woodall - I take him to Frisco on Wednesday for an MRI of his spine.
  • Kristi Anthony - Physical and mental health
  • Lance Johnson - ALS
  • Troops - Keep them safe
  • Elderly - Prayers for their safety and health.
  • Emergency Personnel - Keep them safe
  • Missionaries all over the world.
  • Jimmy Newman (former member) Recovering from heart surgery.
  • J. T. McNabb (Charolette Bollman's Dad) is in the end stages of his life.
  • Joe DeNoon (Tanya Welch's step-dad) Health
  • Patsy Halcomb (member of the Grief Class) will have a heart procedure in Tyler this week.
  • Matt Welch, youngest brother of Kristi Anthony, has been told that he needs a liver transplant.
  • Allyson Fasken (teacher at PISD) Cancer.
  • Larry RheaSr. (He is the son-in-law of Mary Tallant. Larry is the owner of Starnet.) Cancer.
  • Janet Fouse - (former member) Cancer.
  • Sierra Faulkner - 3 year old with cancer. (Friend of Molly's)
  • Tammy Huffman-Beazley(former member) Cancer
  • Debbie Daniel (friend of Molly's) - Cancer
  • Kathy Martin - Recovering from surgery. She and her husband, Ron, along with her son, Stephen Toler own the Colonial Lodge. (Friend of the Bulls.)
  • Tony Clark is also experiencing more health issues.

SHUT-INS AND NURSING HOMES:

WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT THE LAKE:  We will be meeting at Lake Crook THIS Wednesday, June 7th, for a hamburger/hotdog meal at 6:30PM, followed by fellowship and a devotional.  Bring your lawn chairs and $3 per person for the meal.  There is a new playground and we will have 2 jump houses for the kiddos.  Don't forget to sign-up or call the church office.

YOUNG AT HEART DINNER AND A MOVIE:  We have a relaxed evening of fun planned for all you special YOUNG @ HEART.  You are invited to dinner and a movie at 6pm on Monday night, June 12th.  Cost will be $3/per person.  Please sign up at the Welcome Center if you plan to join us.


COMMUNITY OUTREACH:  We are going to host another Foster Parents' Night Out at our building on Saturday, June 17th from 4:40-8:00PM, and we need a few babysitters.  This is a great way to show our local foster families how much we appreciate and support what they are doing by giving them a much needed break.  We did this a few months ago and it was a huge blessing for these families.  If you can help, please sign up at the Welcome Center
You will need to complete a volunteer application and background check authorization form unless you have already done this for a previous event.  These forms are located under the clipboard on the Welcome Center and need to be returned to the church office or Rachel Spencer by Wednesday, June 7th.


LATCH KEY:  Will have an opening for a care giver position beginning Aug. 1st.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  If interested see James Hanley or call him at 903-517-8794.

RAINBOW ROOM ITEMS: Boys shorts sizes 6-10 and underwear any size

PANTRY NEEDS:  Boxed cereal, Diapers sized 1,2,3

SIMPLE SUPPER:  
The S. S. crew is taking a summer break.
