Weekly Update - 8/19


Thank you Randy for bringing the lesson on "Here I Am, Send Me", with the text taken from Isaiah 6:1-8.

He also challenged us to continue to SACK THE PULPIT!!!  There's still room to add more sacks of groceries!!!  We have one more week!!!

We also heard from Coach Mike Long asking us to PRAY FOR OUR STUDENTS!

OUR SYMPATHY is extended to: 
  • Cari, Selena, Sofia and Sue Johnson and their extended families on the passing of Lance this past Monday, after his long battle with ALS.  His services were held on Saturday.
  • The Pruett family as the mourn the passing of Hayden. He won his fight with cancer.

RESPONSE: Alyssa Nutt asked for prayers for personal issues she is dealing with.

PRAYER REQUESTS:
  • Johnny Nabors - Had a heart cath on Friday - NO STENTS!!
  • Donna McGee - Cancer
  • Vickie Humprey - Cancer
  • Webber Woodall - Was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease this past week.
  • Barbara Dean is at Heritage House for rehab.
  • Herschel McClain - Health 
  • Marie Faulkner - Health
  • Dorothy Pearce - Health
  • Daisy Redding - Recovering from knee surgery at home.
  • Jean Anthony - Health
  • Jackie Helm - Lung cancer
  • Kristi Anthony - Physical and mental health
  • Tyler McClour, grandson of Joy Barnett, is in California (deployed with his Army platoon) fighting the wildfires.
  • Jackie Smithson, Joyce Basinger's sister-in-law, has had pneumonia for 2 months.  She's back in the hospital, in Waco, in critical condition. 
  • Ann Levy, cousin of Terry Maxwell, has lung cancer.
  • Cooper Gibson (local 7 year old) is now in rehab in Dallas. (Great nephew of Judy Gibson.)
  • Diane Maroschia is a friend of Judy Gibson's.  She has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. 
  • Helen Short (friend of Anita Roden) is experiencing health issues.
  • Paul Denney - Local architect - Health
  • Please keep our troops and first responders in your prayers for safety. 
  • Also keep our teachers and students in your prayers.
