Weekly Update - 6/2

  • Daisy Redding is at home, after a trip to the ER this morning. She had severe reflux.
  • Nelda Skinner is at home, after a stay in the hospital with inflammatory colitis.
  • Neal Nutt is very ill with appendicitis and pneumonia.

  • Ora Henderson - Health
  • Jimmy Faulkner - He began radiation, along with continued chemo treatments.
  • Jay Anthony -  Recovering from a stroke.

  • Laquita Lawrence - Cancer.

  • Cullum and Judy Hillis had a new grandbaby last week.
  • Ariana Jones (Spencer Jones' wife) will be induced on Friday.
  • David Waggoner, who we had on the prayer list for a while, passed away last week.
  • Jessie West, who was on our prayer list, also passed away last week. 
  • Chris Goggan (Joanne Wood's fiancée) - Cancer
  • Paul McClain - Health
  • Billy Icenhower - He is back in the hospital with blood pressure problems.  He is still in pain, has no appetite and is very weak from the long surgery. Doctors said this could last up to 3 weeks.
  • Linda Nichols (Kristi Garrett's mom) - Cancer.
  • Lonny Parson, local minister, had an aneurysm a few weeks ago. He is in Medical City/Plano in ICU.  As of today, he's been in Medical City/Plano for 119 days.
  • The Vanderpools - in HaitiPrayers for our students and teachers
  • Prayers for our military.
  • Prayers for our first responders



UPDATES:
~~June 2-September 1 All adults will meet in the auditorium for Sunday
morning Bible class. This class will be taught by the elders and Randy. The
theme will be “The Discipleship Path.”

~~Don’t forget to make sermon suggestions to Randy for the summer. Suggest
your favorite Psalm for Sunday mornings and an interesting topic for Sunday
nights
. The suggestion box is at the Welcome Center.

~~Sunday night, June 9 at 6:30. Worship at the Hispanic congregation. Ice
Cream and volleyball after the service.

~~Three classes will be offered for adults on Wednesday nights. The Men’s
Class will meet in Room 1. The Ladies’ Class will meet in Room 6. Randy will be teaching a class on Revelation 2-3 in Room 3.

~~Dismissal dates due to holidays include Sunday night, May 26, Sunday
night, June 16, Wednesday night, July 3, and Sunday night, September 1.

~~Finally, upon further discussion and review, the elders have decided to not do the
floors this summer.
A feasibility study will be conducted to consider the best
options for the future of our facility
