Weekly Update - 9/1

Randy started a new sermon series this morning on the book of Acts.  "Acts: An Introduction"... You Will Be My Witnesses.  The text of the lesson was taken from Acts 1:8.

Implications for Luke: (The prologue to Luke's gospel is found in Luke 1:1-4)
  • Luke wrote as a historian
  • Luke wrote as a theologian.
  • Luke wrote as an apologist. (Defending his case.)
  • Luke wrote as an evangelist.
Insinuations for Us:
  • Since Luke/Acts is history, we must share it.
  • Since Luke/Acts is theology, we must study it.
  • Since Luke/Acts is an apology, we must support it.
  • Since Luke/Acts is gospel, we must shout it.
