Weekly Update - 3/16

PRAYERS:
  • Mary Lloyd - prayers for comfort.
  • Anna Zant's brother, Joe Don Mashburn, is in ICU in a hospital in Dallas.
  • Daisy Redding's Mom has cancer.
  • Brent Nichols (missionary in Peru) - prayers for the healing of his arm that was broken recently.
  • Heather Cannon has graduated from the AIM program.  Prayers for her and her new venture.
  • Joy Barnett's grandson, Ely Speer, will be having a heart procedure soon.
  • Robin Fain's friend, Debbie, is fighting cancer.
  • Ora Henderson - prayers for safe travel for her daughter.
  • Philip Wood (OCU graduate) and the other passengers missing on the Malaysia flight.
  • Jimmy Thielman's brother, Chuck Thielman, is moving to Paris and starting his life over.
  • Continued prayers for the Vanderpool's as they continue to be missionaries in Haiti.
PRAISE:
  • Evelyn Perry's grandson, Perry Bolton, is now cancer FREE!
  • The Stalling's granddaughter, Laurilee, is healing fine.
  • Jean King, is healing well.
  • Thank you Lord for the rain.
  • Lila Buchanan - feeling better.
  • Vision Team - Blessings on this group.

OUR SYMPATHY:
  • Jamal Booker died in a tragic vehicle accident last week.  His father, Ray Charles Booker, was one of  Derald Bull's classmates.  His services will be next Saturday.
  • Jim Putnam passed away this weekend, and his wife Marcia is in the hospital chest pains.  Marcia is the director of health occupations at PJC.  Their son, Walker, is a physician and will be moving to Paris this summer.  His services are pending at Starrett Funeral Home.
  • Lisa Reagan Frazier passed away this afternoon after a battle with cancer.  Her funeral arrangements are pending at Fry Gibbs Funeral Home.
  • Margaret Stout passed away Friday night.  Her services will be Tuesday in the chapel of Fry Gibbs Funeral Home.
PANTRY NEEDS:  Shampoo
YARN DRIVE:
  Kiddie Kollege is collecting yarn they will donate to make "blessings" blankets for wounded soldiers.  There is a collection box by Room 6.



5TH SUNDAY POTLUCK:  March 30th will be our 5th Sunday format.  Please make plans to stay for our potluck lunch with a short service to follow.



SIMPLE SUPPER:  This weeks' entrĂ©e is Breakfast or Mexican Casserole.  Please donate at least $2 per person.  If you weren't able to sign-up this morning and want to join us, please call the church office by noon on Tuesday.
