Weekly Update - 10/19

Thank you Patrick for bringing the lesson from Acts 3 this morning!  I can't imagine the man, never being able to walk, given the gift to walk again.

What a beautiful song service, that Stephen Gerald led us in!  I loved hearing that "new" old song...it was powerful!  (I noticed that it was written in 1951.)

RESPONSES:

  • Ora Henderson asked for prayers for her 15 year old granddaughter, Desiree, who has been having strokes.
  • Kathy Marshall asked for prayers for her sister, Judy.  She had double knee replacement and continues to be in terrible pain.
  • Molly Woodall thanked the church for all their prayers for Webber this past week, for his health.
SYMPATHY:
  • Our sister, Jean Gibson, passed away early this morning. No service details are known at this time.
  • Wayne Brumley passed away yesterday. He was married to Sandy Carroll.  Ed and Melba Carroll's son-in-law.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
  • Please pray for those who have been affected by the Ebola virus.  Pray also for those who are ministering to them, for their safety as well.
  • Macy Bryan was injured during a cheerleading stunt on Friday and suffered a concussion.
  • Sandra Leath has been very ill over the last couple of years.  It was wonderful to see her back at church this morning.
  • Congratulations to Louie and Marolyn Woodall ... they became great-grandparents this week.  Twin girls were delivered in New York, each weighing 4 pounds.
  • Pam Cattabiani will have surgery this week.
  • Bobby Salter - recovering from leg surgery.
  • Pete Taylor - is recovering from surgery this week.
  • Webber Woodall - diagnosed with pleurisy.
  • Donna Mosley - health
  • Jeremy Offutt, son of William and Lucy, is recovering from a heart scare he had this week.
  • Gene Stallings asked for prayers for the health of his friend, Larry Click.
  • Peggy Wright has been experiencing some health issues.
  • Lance Johnson - his fight with ALS.
  • Kristie Anthony - her continuing mental/physical healing.
  • Kevin Wood's Mom, Sarah Wood - health
  • Jeanie Lamb - Health
  • Remember all the teens and young adults that they will make good life choices and decisions.
  • Please pray for our troops.  Not only are they fighting the enemy, keeping peace and keeping us safe...now they are helping with the Ebola crisis.  
  • Continue prayers for our missionaries all over the world.
