Weekly Update 5/21


WHAT A DAY!!!! 

  • We celebrated our Seniors who will be graduating and starting the next phase of their journey. 
  • We celebrated the kindergarten graduates,  as they start first grade. 
  • We celebrated new members. 
  • We celebrated a baptism. 

And then... We said goodbye to Patrick, Kari Ann, Sam, Abby and Daniel as they leave us to start their new work in Texarkana.  We will keep you in our hearts and prayers. 

Andy Garner, Jered Bagett and Patrick all spoke to our Seniors, but it was a lesson for us all:

  • Lead like Jesus. 
  • Honor God. 
  • Take Jesus on your journey. 
  • Trust where God plants you. 
  • Go with God. 
  • Always put your hope in God, not in man. 

BAPTIZED:  Jace Cooper, son of Rusty and Jennifer was baptized  this morning. 

RESPONSE: Margie Champion asked that we keep her in prayer as she deals with some struggles in her life. 

WELCOME: Margaret Jackson and her son David Jackson have joined us at LACOC. Also, David will have open heart surgery this week. 

NEW BABY:  Cliff and Maggie Kerby are proud to announce the arrival of their new son William Wayne, born yesterday. 

JO BULLS SCHOLARSHIP:  Congratulations to Caleb Keele. He is the 2017 recipient from the Bulls Family. 

PRAYER REQUESTS:
  • Gene Stallings - Had a stroke, while in Alabama, on Thursday.  He was at church this morning!! 
  • Sherry Welch - Had retina surgery TWICE!! She's recovering at Shannon's in Tyler. 
  • Sarah Smith - In PRMC. 
  • Sharon Thielman - Health
  • David Welch - Has been transferred to Stillhouse Rehab - Room 66/D Wing.
  • Mike Grigsby - Has been moved to Rehab. 
  • John Figgins - Health
  • Jean Anthony - Has 2 aortic aneurysms that will need surgery.
  • Sherrie Boyd - Health
  • Anita Roden - Health
  • Loretta Nabors -Recovering from back surgery. 
  • Dee Lyons - Mental and emotional health.
  • Vicki Humphey - Health 
  • Webber Woodall - Was fitted was a brace for his knee this past week, hopefully it will stop the falls.
  • Kristi Anthony - Physical and mental health
  • Lance Johnson - ALS
  • Troops - Keep them safe
  • Elderly - Prayers for their safety and health.
  • Emergency Personnel - Keep them safe
  • Missionaries all over the world.
  • Becky Lamberson, a co-worker at First Federal, has cancer and is back in the hospital.
  • Matt Welch, youngest brother of Kristi Anthony, has been told that he needs a liver transplant.
  • Allyson Fasken is a teacher at PISD and has been diagnosed with inoperable, stage 4, pancreatic cancer.
  • Larry RheaSr has stage four lung cancer. He is the son-in-law of Mary Tallant. Larry is the owner of Starnet.
  • Janet Fouse - She went in for her chemo treatment and they found a blood clot near her heart.  She had emergency surgery Friday afternoon at UT Tyler.
  • Sierra Faulkner - Got a wonderful report on the tumor in her brain this week.  It shows that it's not growing. (Friend of Molly's)
  • Tammy Huffman-Beazley(former member) Cancer
  • Debbie Daniel (friend of Molly's) - Cancer
  • Kathy Martin - Recovering from surgery. She and her husband, Ron, along with her son, Stephen Toler own the Colonial Lodge. (Friend of the Bulls.)
  • Tony Clark is also experiencing more health issues.

SHUT-INS AND NURSING HOMES:  
Butch Mills, Johnny Bassett, Carol Murphy, Johnny Houser, Roy Jones, Paul and Carol Helton, Carl Melton, Sarah Smith, Sarah Dene Goree, Donna Mosley, Peggy Wright.

GRADUATING SENIORS:  Start praying for our high school seniors, who will soon be graduating and starting a new chapter in their lives!  Senior Sunday was today. Their baskets are still at the back of the foyer, with each seniors name on it.  
Corey Allen, Tate Bivens, Cade Blackmon, Reagan Booker, Macy Bryan, Sam Cannon, Jacob Duren, Caleb Keele, Kelcey Smith, Lauren Thompson, Madison Weems, Katey Vorwek.

RAINBOW ROOM ITEMS: Girls pants size 3T-6X and Juice Boxes

PANTRY NEEDS:  Canned fruit, canned meat and shampoo

SIMPLE SUPPER:  Mexican Stack-ups
