Prayer Requests - 5/3 - 2pm


Thank you Patrick for the great message yesterday morning..."I Am The Good Shepherd".
Next Sunday Patrick will bring us a special Mother's Day message.  (The "I AM" series will resume on May 23.)
Can you believe that it's been 11 years that the Cannon family has been here?  We sincerely hope there will be MANY more years to come! 
Thanks also to Kyle for the beautiful song service!  You chose songs that we haven't sang in a while.

Please keep the following in prayer this week:
  • Audrie Faires went forward yesterday morning asking for prayers of safety and that God would use her in her new job as a counselor at Dry Bones in Colorado.  She said "I don't want to explain Jesus, I want to be Jesus."
  • Ora Henderson also went forward asking for prayers for her family and their health and well-being.
  • Loretta Nabors had gallbladder surgery this morning.
  • Sherry Welch's Mom, Hazel Cross, has been admitted to the hospital in Winnsboro.
  • Derald Bulls will be having tests run this week.
  • Please continue to remember Maureen Spencer's family.  There has still be no siting of her Papaw.  He's now been without his diabetes meds and blood pressure meds.
  • Continue prayers for Landon Garrett's fine motor skills to come back.  Prayers of thanksgiving for the progress he's made so far.
  • Joe & Jamilyn (Garrett) Campbell are the proud parents of a new baby daughter, Addison Joel Campbell.  She was born today (a month early). She weighed 8 pounds.  Grandfather is Paul Garrett and very proud Uncle and Aunt Curtis & Kristi Garrett
  • Mark Barnett's little 9yr old friend, Ty VanMeter, is still having problems with the hip he broke about 2 yrs ago.  The bone isn't growing correctly and is fragile.
  • Continue to remember Don Carroll as he's doing better but is still weak.  Keep praying for healing.  (Please also remember Lisa's Mom, the enduring nurse.)
  • Matt Denman's uncle was killed in a car accident on Friday.  He was 62.  Keep his wife, Charlene and their family in your prayers.
  • Jill Faires' uncle, Luke Cammack, is near the end of his life.  Please pray that his family has peace and understanding.
  • Cynthia Williams asked for prayers for the Smith family as they are having marital problems.
  • Norma Boren (John Williams Mom) lost her husband of 19 years this past week.  Please keep her in your prayers.
  • Karen Cato asked that we remember 2 of her friends that have cancer.  Patty McNeal and Joy Blaylock.
  • Please keep Leslie Keele's friend, Hillary Holder and her family, in your prayers.  Her dad was a policeman in Abilene and was killed in an accident on Friday.
  • Valerie McClain & Donna McGee's co-worker, Phyllis King's husband, Bill King had surgery last week for cancer.

  • Betsy Townsend family - health issues.
  • Logan Lane 19 yrs old was in a terrible motorcycle wreck Friday night, he hit a huge black hog. He was thrown about 100 yards down the highway without a helmet, He was taken to Parkland/Dallas. From his eyebrowns up he has very little skin or hair left, he almost lost his nose and he had big chunks gone from his face and broke his wrist. They did plastic surgery on him Saturday, reattached his nose and he woke up very little vision in his left eye, the doctors said he may or may not get his vision back. So please pray for him and his family, he has a long rode of recovery ahead of him. Logan is the son of Mike and Kara Lane, Mike works for LMS and Kara is a teacher at North Lamar.
  • There will be 2 Boles Home girls moving to Paris to attend PJC in the fall.  What a wonderful chance this will be for us to reach out to these girls and help in the transition.
  • Janet Christ asks that we remember all those who are out of work, and pray for our economy.

KIDDIE KOLLEGE ENROLLMENT: Is still on-going for the Fall Semester. See Tammy Benedick if you have any questions.

SIMPLE SUPPER: This weeks entree will be Spaghetti. If you didn't get the chance to sign up on this morning, you still have the chance to come and eat with us by calling the church office by noon on Tuesday.

PANTRY NEEDS: Pasta and spaghetti sauce

There will be a Medical Mission trip to Peru in July. Mackenna and Spencer Jones want to go and are trying to raise money by doing odd jobs for their portion of the trip. Call their Mom - Monica at 903-783-9442. What a wonderful opportunity this is, not only for the kids to get to go to Peru, but for you to get some help around your place!

LADIES RETREAT: There's a Ladies Retreat, in the planning stages, for Jan-Kay Ranch! Mark your calendars for July 30-31. I'll get back to you with more details as they become available.
