Weekly Update - 7/21

Responses:
Pete Taylor asked Patrick to ask for our prayers.  He loves us and has fallen away from worship.  He says:  "I want to be with my church family."
Bryce Williams recently moved to Paris and is working at Honda of Paris.  He asked for prayers for God to guide him and give him strength to get through struggles.

Baptized: 
Kaitlyn McCarter was baptized at Camp Deer Run last week.

Prayer Requests:
  • Lillian Taylor was taken home from DuBois with hospice.  Prayers for comfort and peace.
  • Laura Janes is in PRMC/558.
  • William Offutt is recovering from heart surgery this past Friday. Hopefully will be out of the hospital tomorrow. 
  • Tate Bivens is recovering from surgery on his leg this past week.  (Tate will be baptized at Camp Deer Run on Wed. night July 31st.)
  • Johnny Bassett is back at Stillhouse Nursing and Rehab after being in the hospital these past couple of weeks.
  • Mike Crews is recovering from a blood infection.
  • Kristi Anthony fell last night and cut her foot.  Please pray for her memory to improve and for her family as they are trying to help her.
  • Ruth Ann Stallings asked for continued prayers for David and Laurie Vanderpool as they are in Haiti.
  • Smitty and Kay Allen's grandson, Billy Thomas, has been deployed for the 4th time!  He's been in Iraq twice and Afghanistan twice.
  • 30 teens and adults from the LACOC left this afternoon to spend the week with Dallas Life Ministries.  They will work with the homeless.  Please keep them in prayer for their success and safety.
  • Remember all those who are at church camps and the staff working with the kids.
  • Clint Spencer is leaving this week for a mission to Africa.
  • Bailey Cannon and Mackenna Jones have returned to the states after being in the mission field.  Prayers of thanksgiving for their safe return.
Simple Supper:  This weeks entrée is Hamburgers.  Please donate at least $2 per person. 

Pantry Needs:  Macaroni and cheese

It's that time of year again! Charlotte Grooms is accepting donations of new back-packs or monetary donations for the purchase of the bags. Charlotte works at Justiss Elementary. You may deliver those to her in the church nursery.
