Weekly Update - 3/14

Thank you Keith Bollman for stepping in to speak to us, while Patrick is out of town.
Our crowd was small yesterday.  There are lots of folks out of town on Spring Break vacations.  Please keep them all in your prayers.

RESPONSE:  Diane McFadden is depressed and would love our prayers.

SYMPATHY:  To the family of Raven Dowd, a PHS senior, who died Saturday in an accidental shooting.

PRAYER REQUESTS:
  • Roxanne Raper - it was wonderful to see her back at worship yesterday.
  • Caleb Keele - is at home recovering from surgery.

  • Jean O'Neal - will be traveling soon to see her sister in California.

  • Kristi Anthony - Mental and physical health
  • Gordan Hyman - had heart by-pass on Thursday, at Baylor/Dallas, and is doing well.  (Loretta Nabors' brother.)
  • Brianna (Slawson) and her family Casey DeLay and Blayden to the prayer list. She is 19 weeks pregnant and we just received some very difficult information about the baby. "Prayers for the Great Physicians hands to be upon our unborn baby."
  • Andy Johnson - Serious condition at Baylor/Dallas.  (2nd grade teacher at Parker Elementary)
  • Jerry Langley - Recovering from a motorcycle accident. (former member)
  • Missionaries all over the world.
KITCHEN POUNDING –If you have not brought the kitchen items you signed up for to bless the Hispanic congregation, please get it to the church office ASAP. The remaining gifts will be taken to Marcelino this week.

ONE SUNDAY A MONTH—a CDL licensed driver is needed to pick up a few people that want to worship with us. If you are willing to help with this important ministry, please see James Hanley or Shane Welch.

THOMAZUEA, HAITI—There is a need in Haiti for certain supplies and we have the opportunity to help! Please pick up a list at the Welcome Center of things needed. Boxes are in the foyer for your donated items. Please do so no later than April 20th. Thank you in advance for helping with this need.

WEDDING SHOWER—honoring former member Emily Christ and Josh Berry will be on March 20th from 1:30—3PM. Selections are at Kohls, JCPenney’s, WalMart and Bed Bath & Beyond.

MOVIE NIGHT—We will be showing the movie War Room on Sunday, April 24th.  Time to be announced later!

WEDNESDAY LADIES BIBLE CLASS - will not be meeting this Wednesday - March 16th.


LADIES DAY—Please join us for a great day on Saturday, April 23rd from 9AM to 1:30PM. Laurie Vanderpool, Co-founder of Live Beyond, will be our guest speaker. She is the daughter of Gene & Ruth Ann Stallings. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please RSVP no later than April 15th.

WIN A DOOR PRIZE—If you love to decorate or want to join with a friend who does, then please sign up (at the Bulletin Board) to decorate a table for our up-coming Ladies Day. You choose the "theme" for your table and bring all that is needed to create a centerpiece. White table cloths, plates, and utensils will be provided. This is a competition…...so may the BEST table WIN!!

SIMPLE SUPPER:  This weeks' entrée is Chicken Sandwiches.  Please donate $3/per person.

PANTRY NEEDS:  1 pound bags of beans or rice
