Weekly Update - 3/28

Patrick's lesson on Sunday morning was "Roll That Stone Away".  The text was from Matthew 27:62-66 and 28:1-15.
The reality of the empty tomb changes EVERYTHING!


OUR SYMPATHY:  Please keep the family of Jeff Nichols and his DPS Trooper family in your prayers.  Jeff was killed instantly on Saturday night, while on patrol.

REJOICE:  Stephen, Mandy and Jesse Gerrald are THRILLED to announce the arrival to Paris, TX of Shepherd Nathalem Gerrald, from Ethiopia.  

PRAYERS:

  • Wanda McFadden has moved to Heritage, Room 321.  Her pneumonia is better, but she's also having to deal with other health problems.
  • Ann Huffman fell last week and dislocated her shoulder.
  • Webber Woodall - Health
  • Peggy Dotson - Will be going to Dallas for medical testing this week.
  • John Figgins - Cancer treatments
  • Lance Johnson - ALS
  • Kristi Anthony - Physical and mental health.
  • Roxanne Raper has asked that we pray for their daughter-in-law, Jamy Raper.  Aaron has taken her back to Baylor/Dallas. They are going to implant another shunt on Tuesday.
  • Kimberly Daniels' friend, Corey Townsend, suffered a seizure after an MRI today.  He coded and is now in PRMC/ICU.  Corey is a brain cancer survivor.
  • Amber Baeza had a seizure this afternoon and fell.  She is being CareFlighted to Dallas now.
  • Amber is 24 and has 4 little ones.  (She is my friend Kim Stribling's niece.)
  • Andy Johnson (North Lamar teacher) continues to be in the hospital in Dallas.
  • Jerry Langley (former member) continuing to improve after motorcycle accident and multiple surgeries.
  • Brianna (Slawson) DeLay - Prayers for a healthy baby.  (Harvey and Linda Slawson's daughter)
  • Cissy (Hilliard) Diamond - Cancer treatments (friend of Molly's)
  • Pray for the missionaries all over the world.

THOMAZUEA, HAITI—There is a need in Haiti for certain supplies andwe have the opportunity to help! Please pick up a list at the Welcome Center of things needed. Boxes are in the foyer for your donated items. Please do so no later than April 20th. Thank you in advance for helping with this need.

MOVIE NIGHT—We will be showing the movie War Room on Sunday,April 24th. Prayer is a powerful weapon and this is an inspiring movie full of faith, hope, and love. Bring your family and a friend and join us. Appropriate for all ages. 

LADIES DAY—
Please join us for a great day on Saturday, April 23rd from 9AM to 1:30PM. Laurie Vanderpool, Co-founder of Live Beyond, will be our guest speaker. She is the daughter of Gene & Ruth Ann Stallings. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please sign up at the Bulletin Board or RSVP to the office no later than April 15th. 
WIN A DOOR PRIZE—If you love to decorate or want to join with a friend who does, then please sign up (at the Bulletin Board) to decorate a table for our upcoming Ladies Day. You choose the "theme" for your table and bring all that is needed to create a centerpiece. White table cloths, plates, and utensils will be provided. This is a competition…...so may the BEST table WIN!!


SIMPLE SUPPER:  This weeks' entree is Pizza.  Please donate $3 per person.

PANTRY NEEDS:  1 pound bag of rice and packages of cornbread

RAINBOW ROOM NEEDS:  Teen girl clothes and teen boy and girl shoes.
