Weekly Update - 4/14

Response:  Austin Anthony went forward this morning stating that "I asked my Mom (Kristi Anthony) last night 'Mom, what's the one thing you want the most?'....she stated 'I want to go home.'"  Patrick prayed a special prayer for Kristi to come home and be with her family. 

New Members:  Nick and Rebecca Morello and also Roger and Stephanie Bryan

Our Sympathy is extended to John McGee and his family in the loss of his grandmother, Grace Foreman, this week.

* Kristi Anthony as she continues her rehab at the Pate Rehab Center in Anna, TX. Please call first (Jay or Sandy) before visiting.
* Ed Bullard had surgery at Baylor/Dallas yesterday. They removed a benign tumor from his spine that had been there for some time.  His daughter Kristi said that he'd had a good night and is able to move his right leg some. 
* Tom Wood - taking cancer treatments.
* Lance Johnson as he fights ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).
* John Figgins - taking cancer treatments.
* Don Thompson - Had by-pass surgery this week and now his kidneys are failing.
* Lee McClain - is feeling better and was at church this morning.
* Louise Peace - Health
* Jeanie Lamb - Cancer
* Lareece Maggard - Health
* Joyce Allen - feeling much better.
* Chuck Brazile - is feeling better and is out of the hospital
* Perry Bolton (former member and grandson of Evelyn Perry) had the tumor removed from his kidney....will be going through another surgery soon.
* Lillian Welch (Mark Welch and Dianne McFadden's Mom) - Health - she is at home now.
* David and Mike Nelson (Charlotte Grooms' brothers) - Health
* Keely Kennedy asked for prayers for Bethany Christian.  She recently lost her job.  She's dealing with depression and needs prayers.
* Kathy Marshall asked for prayers for her daughter, Mindy Miller, as she is dealing with depression.
* Lesa Bulls asked for prayers for Dustin Smith.  He will have a biopsy procedure on Tuesday.
* Lesa also asked for prayers for her friend, Carolyn Hiner, as she is going through chemo treatments.  Also, Carolyn's brother, Lee Hiner, was diagnosed with prostate cancer and will be having surgery this week.

KFC Spring Fling: Louie and Marolyn Woodall will once again host the annual Spring Fling for the KFC group and their families, 4:30-7:30pm on Saturday, April 20th.  Guys bring drinks and girls bring desserts.

Do you have a CDL?  There is a need for another driver for Sunday mornings.  If you can help with this, please check with Wayne Kerby.  Also...can you help maintain the vans?  You don't have to DO the maintenance...just see that they are safe and ready at all times.

Simple Supper: Still only $2 per person. This weeks' entree is Lasagna. If weren't able to sign-up, this morning, and would like to join us, call the church office by noon on Tuesday.

Pantry Needs: Boxes of mac and cheese and boxes of spaghetti
