After participating in a track meet here in Paris, yesterday, the Mount Pleasant boys track team bus was side-swiped by an 18-wheeler, in Talco. The bus rolled a few times.
The coach driving the bus, 2 other coaches and 18 students were taken to hospitals in Tyler, Pittsburgh, Mount Pleasant and Sulphur Springs. 1 student was taken to Parkland/Dallas
Directly behind the bus, was the girls track coach. The truck hit that car and killed Coach Angelica Beard, as well as the driver of the 18-wheeler.
